Have it been 4 years already??????

10th July is our 4th year wedding anniversary.

Time flies.

So many things had happened since 10th july 2002 and of course this year's anniversary is extra special due to our latest addition : Bb violet raine. :o)

We decided to go out for a nice dinner (since 10th JUL is also bonus day-can spulrge a bit) but cannot decide on the venue for dinner.

I suggested we go for lunch instead as i could get my mum to BBsit raine for the afternoon. But r4 shocked me by saying that why can't we bring her along too?!!

I was kinda hesitant as i really dunno where can we eat that is special and bb friendly at the same time. He wanted to go tarven or just steak but i think restuarants like that dun really welcome 6 weeks old bb in stroller.

R4:Dun care bb friendly or not, just name a place and we go there to eat la.
San-d: How about sun& moon jap rest at wheel lock place?
R4: Ok.* Already driving towards town*
San-d: Wait, wait, how about the buffet @ mandarin hotel? I forgot the rest name though.
R4: Don't have la. close down liao.
San-d: Have!!! Dun be kanasai la, the fondue's superb!
R4: But go there i have to kiss my 3X $50 byebye!! (buffet's @ $55 +++ each)
San-d: I pay lah!!!!
R4: Don't want!!!! Just stick to where you say first ok?
San-d: Ok *sulks*

But i'm in for a pleasant surprise when i see him turn into mandarin hotel's carpark.

R4: Bring you go triple tree to eat lah.
San-d: huh??!! Really?
R4: Yah. Better than go wheellock. Go there, not only i will use up 2X$50, you will ask me buy doll ( coz there is a toy shop there which sells Blythes)for you then it will be another 3x$50 gone.
San-d: ................*speechless*

Luckily Bb raine didn't really wail or create a ruckus but she just whine and make those eek eek sounds so we didn't really disturb the rest of of the partons in the restuarant. It is not so bad to bring a Bb out, we just need plenty of coordination and cooperation!

Went to watch Superman Returns Preview yesterday evening.

Reason being:

1. R4 finished work early
2. Hence we got to run some errands
3. Managed to catch thr 6pm preview.

Got the shock of out life when we went into the cinema and saw that no one is there???!!!!

We went out and see if we went to the wrong cinema but its correct!

R4: Ai seh, i book the whole cinema for you to watch superman preview.
San-d: Don't be kanasai (like crap). People haven't come in la.
R4: *snickers*

After all the trailers and when superman starts, some people did come in but after doing a head count, it is a total of 10 people (incl Us) watching the show.

R4: Superman boring la, you see no one wanna come and watch.
San-d: -________-

But i got a pleasant surprise.

Unlike the X men movie, i feel the superman movie is great! It has the superman "feel".



I like ....
the way superman files(so stylo),
the way superman appears and save the plane ( so take my breath away)
the lost puppy clark kent look( so cute),
the paternity issue of lois lane's son ( so scandalous),
the little boy who acted Lois Lane's son (so sweet),
the look on superman's face when lois lane won the pulitzer prize for the article " why the world doesn't need superman" (so heartache),
Lex Luthor's collection of wigs ( so vain),
the way kitty talk back to Lex - you are losing your hair? (so funny),
the way the ER staff try to resus superman - IV needles got bent, defibrillators caught fire (so useless),
the way superman changes into his supersuit- no longer in phonebooth coz nowadays all using mobiles so he changes in the lift! (so creative),
the way superman drifts lois lane into the sky ( so romantic),
the way jason (lois lane's son) pushes the piano ( so unexpected!!!) *spoiler alert- cannot say why he push the piano*,
the way jason plants a kiss on superman when he is in a coma ( so angelic),
the scene when superman came to see jason in his bedroom (so warms my heart),
the way the fringe curls no matter what happens (so iconic).

Not to mention how dreamy superman looks. Heeheeheeheehee *blush*

San-d: Look at Brandon Routh (actor who acts as superman), his jaw is so chiselled and his eyes! Wahhh look like computer generated superman, he looks so prefect!
R4: Chey. I think he look like Bollywood star.
San-d: You are just jealous.
R4: Crazy, i jealous for what.

As usual, there are a lot of lame superman jokes cracked by R4 during the show.

For example,

There is this scene when superman came back and was found by his earth mom.

San-d: How a frail and old lady bring superman home? So fake one.
R4: Didn't you see she comes in a tow track?

R4: She use the tow track and tow him back la. Superman also will not get injured.
San-d: -________-

After the show,

R4: You know why superman files with both his hands out stretched?
san-d: Coz last time he use manual gear, so fly with one hand. Nowadays all auto gear so both hand free to fly.
R4: No la, don't quote your friend's joke.
San-d: Then what?
R4: Coz superman want to air his armpit. If not wait he prespire, the armpit there got darkblue patch where got stylo.
San-d: *cover mouth and laugh hysterically coz watching show half way*

Day 20.

Times files.

Almost a month already.

BB raine is so different from the 1st day she is home.

1st week - such an angel.
2nd week- Started to show pattern.
3rd week - attitude ley! swings hand vigorously and give me flying kicks and cry on the top of her lungs to get attention.

Babies are such fascinating creatures.

I just can't get angry with her. Not even when she is doing the above mentioned in full force (punch + kick+ cry +++).

Or rather she makes me wanna protect her, soothe her, make her comfy even more.

Oh ya.

Those who complain do guard duty 4 hrly prowling is tough?

Wait till you have a Bb of your own.

P/s: Her milk timing is almost like the world cup matches. 1st night feed will be ranging from 12am -2am. Her second feed will be 3-4 hrs later. She drains my energy so much, i fall asleep while watching the 3am World cup matches.

Violet Raine & Furkids!

Some people will probably freak out when they see the following photos.

Not that they are R(A) or what.

BB Raine and Furkids relaxing with me watching TV.

Sleeping together :op ( No worries! i am watching over them.)

I guess 1st thing that comes into their minds will be: "How can you place an infant with the dogs together!!!" * goes hysterical*

But my Furkids are different. They knew that Bb raine is someone special to me and R4 and they are extra careful when she is around.

San san will follow me (making sure i am ok), accompany me during late night feeds. Having her presence makes me feel less lonely.

They will wait patiently outside the safety gate of raine's room till i come out.

They will bark and inform me when Bb raine cries. Its like they are worried that i can't hear her cries.

In return, i am very grateful that Bb raine is used to the furkids barks. She does not get frightful when the furkids bark, she in fact doesn't even stir when she is sleeping!

So, just wanna show people that Bb and Dogs do mix. (with proper supervision of course!)

And that i still love my furkids and will never give them up.

And BB raine will grow to love them as much as i do!

Violet Raine Came Early!

BB raine estimated date of delivery is somewhere around 13th june.

But she decided to give me a surprise by popping her water bag on 2nd June.

I was totally shocked when i felt my waters break. Was crawling back to bed to sleep after a visit to the toilet when it happens.

Had to shout for R4 to stop coz he is just about to leave for work.

Its just crazy euphoric series of events that happened later.

Prep to go hosp.
Did some last min BB stuff b4 heading to Hosp.
On the way to hosp, wishing CTE is not jam. (R4 is wishing i dun stain his ralliart car seat)Hahahhhahahaa
Registered, went to the prep room, waited, opt for epidural, got it just when the contractions start coming in.
R4 back from work to accompany me ( he went back to camp for his lessons).
Went into labour at 3 plus and ......

Viola!

BB Violet Raine is born on 2nd June @ 1641hrs!

Was discharged 2 days later and there is sure a lot hell lots to learn about Parenting n BBhood.

The Final Battle

Just caught the preview for X3.

Wanted to catch it as soon as possible incase BB Violet Raine decides to pop out early.

Being a X Men fan, i feel kinda disappointed with the show.

Predictable plot. Characters were killed for nothing. The action is so so only.

I wanna be a Plastic Surgeon!

Decided to try customising my BoObOo after weeks of procrastination.

Trimmed her hair neater, Changed her eyechips from ORANGE (Stock) to PURPLE (from ebay) and give her a glittery look by coating it with glitter glue.

Decided to be even more ambitious and decided to paint her eyelids with arcylic paint but murphy's law seem to agree with me and no matter how careful i am, i managed to screw up her right eyelid (haven't dry then i let her eyelid close back hence the scratch)

Sigh........


BoObOo's new look! I even took out her stock eyelashes and changed it to thin feathery ones. Think i will look for thicker ones to give her the cute cute look.


Somehow she look quite goth with her purple eyes.....

The orb is an A-P-P-L-E.

Never got to read my copy of Da vinci code.

It became "Aceh national Literture textbook" (as Dr Quack puts it :op) when people started borrowing it from me while we are on the tsunami mission.

Don't think i even managed to read to chapter 10.

The worse thing is that i have to sacrifice my copy to lend to my friend coz i get to go back to singapore earlier than him...... * -________-*

When i came back, wanted to buy another copy to read but somehow it got soooooooo hyped up that i actually got put off by it and decided not to read anymore.

But yesterday's movie experience left me pleasantly surprised.

Was wondering initially if i should catch this movie (very hyped up!!!! All the riots, secrecy towards the movie before the release etc etc) but since majority of my friends watched it and wanting to watch it, i've decided to go with the flow.

It is flimed very nicely in layman terms that even people with no christian/history background will understand.

In short: Very entertaining.

Xing wasn't happy that they left out many details of the book. I guess many people who read the book are not happy that the director left out certain details of the book.

Was telling Xing that if the director wanted to include all the details, he'll probably gotta make it like the LOTR trilogy or Starwars series.

Wahahahahhahaha....

Another guess of mine is probably it is not easy to get to those location to flim(apparently the church of suplice doesn't allow them to flim and they have to use another church to mock up) or maybe they did flim but they chopchop (censored) it to a more politically correct version so as not to spark up anymore controversy.

The book itself already caused a lot of controversy already.

I guess you can't please them all.

On a lighter note, Ser and i had a great time discussing the movie during the show (we whispered, not creating any annoyance to anyone ok... Heeheeheee)

Ser read the book before and i didn't , so i keep telling her don't tell me, don't tell me what's going to happen next.

Hehehehhehehehehehe.

Scenes that left a deep impression on me (meaning i like lah...) :

1. The part where Sophie managed to shake the french police off with her SMART car.
(SMART rules ok!!! I sooooo wannna get one!!!!) But come to think of it, how can a 600cc car travelling in reverse outrun a citreon xanara? xarara? watever the name is ....... they used this car in WRC ok??!!
hmmmmmm*thinking*

2.The moment Leigh Teabing comes out.
Magneto cameos in da vinci code? Dun play play.
WAhahahahahahhahaha
( For those who don't get it, the actor who acts as Leigh Teabing is the same guy who acts as magneto in the X men trilogy)

In which a lot of lame magneto jokes were cracked by me during the show much to the annoyance of Ser.
Hehehhehehehehe.
Think they cast the wrong guy for the role. Some more x3 is opening this week!

3. The way Robert Langdon deciphers something.
Damn cool. Enuff sad.

4. The locations ( churches, musems etc)
Damn cool. Enuff said. Makes me wanna go France on the next available flight.

5. The cinematography and the way history unfolds itself.
Blends the story well.

6. The part when Sophie attempts to walk on water.
" Maybe i do better with the wine." Whahahahahahhaa....

7. The last conversation between Robert Langdon and Sophie.
" Will you destory the faith or will you renew it....." (something like that- based on my own memory and i don't have memory like Robert Langdon. hehehheheheh :op)

8. Lastly, the way Mary Madgelene's tomb unfold.
Great finishing touch to the movie.

Think i am glad in a way that i didn't read the book before i watch the show. At least i got myself pretty entertained and probably if i get the book to read it now, i would appreciate the details more.

Overall the da vinci code experience = nice :o)

Back in action.

Today brought the laptop to see Dr Acer.

Luckily, its just the keyboard died.

The motherboard etc are still working.

Hence, on the spot change keyboard takes about 5 minutes.

Tah dah! Laptop is revived!

Yeah!

And i got a 10% discount ! Don't know why, maybe the serviceman see me preggie like so poor thing come all the way to ulu jurong to fix laptop.

And he gave me free cable for my dvd rom when i told him i lost mine and would like to purchase one from the service centre.

This is not the set i wanted to get for her initially, there is another purple set that i liked but i overslept and missed the auction for it.
