Busy like a Bee.

What started out like a lazy Saturday turns out to be one of the busiest we had.

And a Fun day too!

Been wanting to try out the brunch at Mimolette as there are reviews about the place being nice (both food and ambiance) so i managed to coax Smellycat to bring Mini v and i to go. :D


We were there at 1030am and we are the 1st customer at the restaurant! :D

Lastly, we ended the day by going to the Night Safari!!
Night Safari has a 15 year anniversary and entry for adults is priced at $15 instead of the usual $22.
So it a big family outing for both avia and me with the guys and the little ones!

(Never go on a Sat night coz it is freaking crowded!! Everything must queue! It felt like i was in Disneyland all over again!!)

Fun Time!

I always love for Mini v to be home coz i have lotsa ideas to try out with her! :D



Got her some chalk recently and we decided to do some graffiti on the corridor's floor!


The doodling's great but the cleaning up is tedious!
Ha! Silly me don't have a brush like broom and have to painstakingly clean with an ikea kitchen bursh! Mini v have a fun time pouring water for me to wash though.:D


This is the spur of the moment pool party for her.
Its a Hot day and i've decided to let her chill out in a cool way!:D
Smellycat got her a new wetsuit and she is gleeful coz according to her it is Diego colors!
She tells us she and Diego are the same! Ha!!

Sansan looks at us with a look of "how i wish i can chill off too", so i plopped her into the pool!


And this works coz after a while i told her that i need to shower the furkid and she had to come with me. She is reluctant at 1st but i told her that i cannot leave her outside the house alone so she got no choice but to follow me into the house.....

The Peranakan Ball.

Again Garlic's loss is my gain.

As he is not in town, he tasked me to go and watch The Peranakan Ball and "report" to him how's it like.

I guess many people are not aware that though i get to for shows and events on Garlic's behalf, i still have to feedback to him about the happenings.

But ultimately, i still get to go for event's so no complains la! :D

Didn't expect photo taking to be allowed at musicals so i didn't bring my usual paparazzi camera.
Just managed to snap some with my SE w902.


Overall, i will give it a 6/10.
The saving grace is really the set and the costumes.
Veteran Actresses such as Xiang Yun and Ann Kok rawks but the rest is kinda blah.
I find there are too many people in drag and this turns from comic relief to crude moments.
Surprisingly, Dai Yang Tian's voice suits doing musicals! At 1st i thought that i might cringe when he sings ( he has a very low voice) but it turns out pretty well! :)

X-men!

Mini v have been watching X men with me almost every night on Okto (provided i am not working) and she can regconise some of the X men.

Actually, she only knows Ice man and Wolverine. Hahahahaha


Here she is doing her best impersonation of Wolverine with her Ikea Sand Scrapers as Wolverine's claws.


She is so full of (berseker) rage that my camera shudders in fear.

Presents.

Avia knew Mini v was sick for the past few days and got her a Jumbo My little Pony Coloring book.


Mini v is thrilled! Check out her cheeky grin when i asked her to pose for a pic.


She immediately set down to color the pony!

Play Doh!

Mini v wasn't feeling too good on sunday and after a trip to the doctor's, Smellycat got her this Play Doh kitchen set to cheer her up.


Mini v is so into the Play Doh that she wanna play it all the time!

Afterall, which kid doesn't like play doh? :)


Immediately after her shower, she wanted to carry on to make her "food".

Smellycat wanted to join her to play and then he was lost at what to do.

Smellycat: Where are the instruction for this?
Vio: O.o what instructions?
Smellycat: If not how to play?
Vio: Just open the container, take the play doh out and play la! Use the mould and make the food la!
Smellycat: Chey.
Vio: Don't tell me you never play before?
Smellycat: I really never play before ma.

A Mother's Surprise.


When i went to pick Mini v up, She gave me this and told me "Happy Mother's Day, I love you Mumiiiiii!!!!!"

Its something she made in school and no wonder a couple of days back, the teacher sent a Memo asking us mothers to trace our hands onto a blank paper provided.

"A mother holds her children's hand for just a little while, their hearts forever."

Aw.... So sweet!!! :)

After 5 mths of school, Mini v's coloring skills improved a lot!

Wash your hands!

With the recent H1N1 hollaballa going on, i've decided to teach Mini v to wash her hands properly.

Printed the handwashing techniques from MOH's webby and taught her how to do it.

Not bad for her that she managed to remember 4 steps out of the 8 steps! :)

While MummyAngie and i was watching Tv, we saw Mini v pushing her easel and setting up her "classroom".

We didn't pay much attention to her as she does it all the time.

When she finally finish setting up her "classroom", she started getting our attention.

Mini v: Class! Sit down and cross your leg. Look at this worksheet ,class!

And then i realised, up on her easel is the handwashing technique poster!

Ha!!


And she proceed to teach us to wash our hands!

The best part is she describe the way i described to her and she made us to go through the motion with her!

Maybe MOH can consider having kids teaching kids. Maybe it is more effective this way.

Drama Mama


Signed Mini v for Act 3's Sunday with Us - Thumbelina Workshop.
Find it pretty interesting and since Mini v is a drama Mama herself so i guess she will enjoy this workshop.

They have to form a train before going in.

Since it is a drop off class and the glass door is frosted, i sneaked a pic from the window and i have to tiptoe to get a random shot.
This is before class starts.


When i am back to collect her and i am early by the way, i went to the same window to sneak a pic of her class.

I couldn't make out where she is so i assume that she is at the teacher's side coz i saw a cluster of kids there.


After i zoomed in the pic, i found her.
She is chillin' with the boys and even had her arm around another random cutie!
Ha!!!


Finally class is over!
She can't wait to get to us coz she is hungry++
Lunchtime + she didn't drink much milk before coming over.
She claims she's not hungry at that time.

And when i asked her what have she learned, she told me "rabbit rabbit".

Smellycat and i was wondering what rabbit then she said teacher taught her to sing the "flog" song.

"Flog"?

Finally it dawned to us - Flog= Frog and "Rabbit"=Ribbit (sound made by frogs).

Then she sung for us her "flog" song.

Smellycat: I thought this is a Thumbelina workshop, How come sing frog song?

We both looked at her and she just shrugged her shoulders.

Oh well, at least she learnt a new song.
(and to hang out with cute guys. hahahahahahahha! :P)
