Kangoo Jumps!

Gotten this email invitation from Nuffnang to try out a new sport called Kangoo Jump.

It is part of a 3 months long campaign organised by Singapore Sports Council which aims to encourage women to actively participate in various sports.
Since i get to ask a female friend to come along, i asked Jac and just nice she can make it.

Yeah!!

I've seen this Kangoo Jump thingy countless times since we ( the usual blading gang) always blade up and down ECP. But somehow we never get to try it. Maybe we are wondering what to do with it besides bouncing up and down like tigger. Wahahhahaha.

This short one hour introductory event is really an eye opener for me and it certainly answers all my quries i have for this sport.

Kangoo Jumps local Webby: http://www.springgear.com.sg/
Kangoo Jumps International Webby: http://www.kangoojumps.com/

I guess everyone will be like me initally thinking : what kinda sport can this be? Just bouncing around wat???
Its was after the introductory lesson that makes me wanna take up this sport.

Reasons:
1. All terrain!! Can use it almost anywhere! You can just wear it and use it to skip outside your house at the corridor. :D
2. Helps to minimise impact to joints. Coz the "bounce" cushions the impact.
3. Besides jumping/ bouncing around like tigger, it can help to build up stamina( cardio exercise) and tones muscle.

Basically, all aerobics moves can be incoperated in it with a bounce!
Thats why Jac has such a blast with it! Ha!

Though the KJs are a bit pricey for a pair ($300ish for one pair) but the instructor told us that a pair running 5km 3 times a week can last for about 2 years so it is not so bad. And the inner sole lining is machine washable!

Maybe SAF can buy this and use it for those who are excuse this excuse that.
Excuse 2.4km run cos of ankle or knee injury? Nevermind, run with the Kangoo Jump.

Hahahaha! Kidding. Think all those who wanted to skive will kill me for suggesting such a idea.
But i guess it is good for those rehab ppl who wanted to start running again. Can still build up stamina with better cushioning.

Kangoo Jumps have so many programs- such as:

1. Kangoo TTR (Train, Tone & Rhythm)
2. Kangoo Boot Camp
3. Kangoo Power Program
4. Kangoo Kick Program
5. Kangoo Running Clinic

Anyway, back to the event. Let the pictures tell the story.

Photobucket
Saw this Uber kawaii board of BOLT.
Mini v sees BOLT and she will tell me it is Fat Dog Cookie.

BlackBird, Fly.

While i am still recovering from the Lubitel Fever....

Photobucket
Anneanne told me there is a lubitel lookalike call BlackBird, Fly.
http://www.superheadz.com/bbf/

Photobucket
It is the first 35mm, twin reflex lens toy camera in the world that is able to shoot 35mm film in three different formats: normal pictures, squared pictures and pictures with sprocket holes effect.

From a Japanese company Superheadz, Blackbird, Fly (BBF) is a simpler (not to mention easier on the wallet) version.

But being me....
I want it all!!! Lubitel , Black bird, Fly!!! GIMMEEEEE!!!
Arrghhhhh * Tears Hair*

Bit by Shutterbuggy (again).

Lomo LCA have always been my object of desire.

Photobucket
But the Lubitel Universal 166+ took my breath away.

I was as usual checking out the Lomography webby and lusting over all the camera when i came across the Lubitel 166+.

Photobucket
Simply awed by all the functions that this retro looking cammy has.

Photobucket
I loved the top down viewer. Its so classical retro.

Besides the classic features, it has new added features such as the ability to rewind 120 rolls and shooting on them again! Giving you the multiple exposure look.

Not to mention all the beautiful pictures that it can produce.
I surfed the gallery and the pictures tooked by Lubitel owners are so nice!!

The Lubitel allows you to shoot different formats and style using 35mm and 120 flims.

Such as :-

Photobucket Photobucket
35mm Portrait Panoramic (58x33)- with Panoramic Potrait sized images (58mm tall) and exposed SPROCKET holes! Uber Coolios!

Photobucket
Square 120 (6x6)Format.

Photobucket
Rectangular 120 (6x4.5) Format.

Photobucket
Endless Panorama 120 Format- Shoot an unlimited amount of frames with no space between them.

With Christmas around the corner, i tried hinting to Smellycat about getting the Lubitel for me.

Vio: I want to show you something.
Smellycat: No.
Vio: ??? What no?
Smellycat: What ever you want to show me - no.
Vio: But i really like this camera!!
Smellycat: Camera again??? How many Lomos you have already!! You only have 2 hands ok??
Vio: >.< !!!!
Smellycat: I tell you what la. Once i hit 10,000 Gold, i give you 1000 Gold for christmas! ( Gold = wow money)
Vio: *Faint*
1000G cannot buy me a Lubitel!!!!

Nowadays i keep on thinking about the kinda pics that i would take if i have a Lubitel 166+.

If only... :p

Fairy Dust.

Mary bought a Barbie book that comes with Fairy Wings and Wand for Mini v.

Think it is the Mariposa series or something.

But Barbie is a bit too "mature" for Mini v so she can't really relate to it.

She sees herself more as Tinkerbelle and insists that i put on the Tinkerbelle wings for her.

Photobucket
Mini v: Whee!!! I am Tinker"Violet"Belle! Give u all my fairy love!!!

Photobucket
Mini v: But if you piss me off... I will ... Hmmm....

Silly Mini v got so excited playing with her wand and after tapping almost everything in sight, she accidently broke her wand.

Mini v: Mumi mumi can help me make?
Vio: ????
Mini v: Make make!!

Then i realised she wanted me to tape the wand with some scotch tape!

Ha!!!!

After 'fixing' her wand for her, She happily go around tapping everything again.

I wonder how long can the wand lasts..... :P

Mini v : Popo! This is a caterpillar. Not worm!!
Mummyhelen : ..........

Animal Business.

Smellycat decided to bring Mini V for some Longkang (Drain) fishing one fine sunday.
He've been wanting to bring her to try this out for sometime already.

So off to Lor. Halus we go!

We gotta pay $4 and that consist of a half hour session of longkang fishing and equipement ( pail + net).

Everytime we walked pass we will think it is child's play.

But we are wrong.

Photobucket
Smellycat and Mini v receeing the long kang.
The longkang is full of guppies!!

Photobucket
Smellycat planning his stradegy.

Photobucket
Attack!!!

Photobucket
Mini v: Hurry up la dadi. My pail very empty!!

Photobucket
Smellycat: You think so easy to catch? Then you come and catch yourself!

Photobucket
Mini v : Chey. Catch myself la. Big deal.

Photobucket
Mini v: See my pail of fishes!!

Actually it is damn hard to catch the guppies coz they are so fast! Not to mention the pathetic net we are given. Ha!

Photobucket
Mini v and her loot! Hahahahahaha

We also tried feeding the "hungry" fishes there. Initally i just bought a small packet of fish food but Mini v wanted to feed some more so Smellycat went to buy another BIG pack of fish food for her to feed.

Talkin' about Daddy's gal. :P

Photobucket
Mini v: I'm coming to feed you fishes!

Photobucket
Mini v: More more more fish food!

Photobucket
Attack of the Hungry Kois.

Photobucket
Its pretty fun to feed the fishes. Even when you are not feeding them, all you need to do is to walk near the pond and they will zoom towards you! Ha!

Photobucket
Something caught my attention....

Photobucket
What the !#*(&$*(@&$??? You mean i am feeding monstrous fishes???
Ha!

Photobucket
After all the fishy business, We brought Mini v to the Animal Lover League to see Dogs and Cats.

She is so sweet, going up to the cats and asking them," Do you want to go my house to stay?"

:)

Wish I could grant her wish.
