Raine Raine.

Updates about Bb Raine:

-She can walk manymany steps unsupported. (driving me crazy)
-She can climb up chairs.
-She can climb down from chairs and bed ( butt 1st)
-She can climb up stairs.
-Her first tooth is her bottom left tooth.
-Her 2 front tooth(top) is halfway out.


-Sometimes she think she is part of the furkids. ( On all 4s and howling "oooohoooh" like them)
-She likes Pooh Bear and will call out "bear bear" when she see Pooh.
-I realised she know what is bear when she called out Bear bear when she sees a polar bear (not pooh).
-I realised she knows what is "ooooohoooooh"(furkids) when she called out "ooooohoooooh" when she sees a goldie walk past.


-I realised she REALLY know what furkids are when ppl ask her where is her Dogs and she goes "ooooohoooooh" .
-She can point and mumble "apperrr" when i show her.
-She calls out "tish" when i show her her fish flashcard.
-She will take her playskool bumblebee bb when i ask her where is "galgal".
-When i ask her questions, she will shake or nod her head. (though sometimes it doesn't makes sense)
-She can indicate to me that she wanna poo by showing this 'strained' face and can sometimes hold till i bring her to her potty.


-She tells me "mummum" when she wanna eat what i am eating.
-She enjoys meal times with us.
-She will dance (by shaking her butt) when you ask her to or when there is some funky music playing.
-She will tilt her head one side when you imitate using the phone and say 'hello?' (or when you pass her a handphone/cordless phone)
-She enjoys her bb enistein and classical baby sessions.


-She likes to read and likes you to read to her.
-She will get angry if you stop her flashcards session half way and demands you to finish it before tending to your stuff.
-She got this thing for "techie" stuffs like remote controls, handphones, computers.
-She likes to blow bubbles and go "brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr".
-She loves to play peek a boo by covering herself with her pooh blankie and go "peekaboo"!
-She can drink from a straw.


-She loves warm water and will spit out cold water (esp coke- think she hate gassy drinks)
-She thinks all cats are called "xiao wei" (all thanks to mummyhelen and her downstairs Kakis)


-She loves to drive. (whether it is her pooh steering wheel on her pram or smellycat's hellokitty plus).


-She loves to swim.
-She loves musical stuff like her keyboard.
-She knows how to hug tight tight and kiss you. ( really warms my heart)
-She will search for you (scanning everyone around her) when someones carries her away and smile when she finally found you ( her eyes met yours).

Its only been 10 mths and 15 days.
Omigosh.....

Dancin' Diva !!!!

Went to catch Jolin Tsai's Concert on Sat-7th April despite having severe food poisoning .
Hard Core right?

No la.

Really dun wanna waste my almost too good to be true tickets ( Story being i managed to get a pair of $150 tixs for $100 each with good seats last min on yahoo classifieds).

Was really looking forward to the concert with Princess Kelene but mysteriously down with food poisoning that very morning.

Princess Kelene was very worried that i can't make it. So what i did was to whack buscopan to relive the spasms and panadol to bring down the fever.

Really Thank God at least the pain subsided a bit so i can make my way to the concert.

The Daffodil Principle

Got this email from Ser.

I dun usually read forwarded mails. I usually delete chain letters the moment i realise they are without even reading them.

But i 'm glad i didn't do so for this.

Maybe i am attracted to the word Daffodil since i read it many times in Bb Raine's Rainbow book coz "Yellow for the Daffodils" and i wanna see whats this daffodil's about.

Take some time to read it , It really touched me and i wanna share it with you.

The Daffodil Principle

Several times my daughter had telephoned to say, "Mother, you must come to see the daffodils before they are over."

I wanted to go, but it was a two-hour drive from Laguna to Lake Arrowhead

"I will come next Tuesday", I promised a little reluctantly on her third call.

Next Tuesday dawned cold and rainy. Still, I had promised, and reluctantly I drove there.
When I finally walked into Carolyn's house I was welcomed by the joyful sounds of happy children. I delightedly hugged and greeted my grandchildren.

"Forget the daffodils, Carolyn! The road is invisible in these clouds and fog, and there is nothing in the world except you and these children that I want to see badly enough to drive another inch!"

My daughter smiled calmly and said, "We drive in this all the time, Mother."

"Well, you won't get me back on the road until it clears, and then I'm heading for home!" I assured her.

"But first we're going to see the daffodils. It's just a few blocks," Carolyn said. "I'll drive. I'm used to this."

"Carolyn," I said sternly, "please turn around."

"It's alright, Mother, I promise. You will never forgive yourself if you miss this experience."

After about twenty minutes, we turned onto a small gravel road and I saw a small church. On the far side of the church, I saw a hand lettered sign with an arrow that read, "Daffodil Garden ." We got out of the car, each took a child's hand, and I followed Carolyn down the path. Then, as we turned a corner, I looked up and gasped.




Before me lay the most glorious sight.
It looked as though someone had taken a great vat of gold and poured it over the mountain peak and its surrounding slopes.

The flowers were planted in majestic, swirling patterns, great ribbons and swaths of deep orange,lemon yellow,saffron and butter yellow.

Each different-colored variety was planted in large groups so that it swirled and flowed like its own river with its own unique hue.

There were five acres of flowers.

"Who did this?" I asked Carolyn.

"Just one woman," Carolyn answered.

"She lives on the property. That's her home." Carolyn pointed to a well-kept A-frame house, small and modestly sitting in the midst of all that glory.

We walked up to the house. On the patio, we saw a poster.

"Answers to the Questions I Know You Are Asking", was the headlines.

The first answer was a simple one. "50,000 bulbs," it read.
The second answer was, "One at a time, by one woman. Two hands, two feet, and one brain." The third answer was, "Began in 1958."

For me, that moment was a life-changing experience. I thought of this woman whom I had never met, who, more than forty years before, had begun, one bulb at a time, to bring her vision of beauty and joy to an obscure mountaintop.
Planting one bulb at a time, year after year, this unknown woman had forever changed the world in which she lived. One day at a time, she had created something of extraordinary magnificence, beauty, and inspiration.

The principle her daffodil garden taught is one of the greatest principles of celebration.

That is, learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at a time--often just one baby-step at time--and learning to love the doing, learning to use the accumulation of time.
When we multiply tiny pieces of time with small increments of daily effort, we too will find we can accomplish magnificent things.

We can change the world ...

"It makes me sad in a way," I admitted to Carolyn.

"What might I have accomplished if I had thought of a wonderful goal thirty-five or forty years ago and had worked away at it 'one bulb at a time' through all those years? Just think what I might have been able to achieve!"

My daughter summed up the message of the day in her usual direct way. "Start tomorrow," she said.

She was right. It's so pointless to think of the lost hours of yesterdays.

The way to make learning a lesson of celebration instead of a cause for regret is to only ask, "How can I put this to use today?"

Use the Daffodil Principle.

When a Princess meet her toady Prince...

When Princess Kelene told me that she's getting married on 1st Apr, the first thing i told her is :

San-d: Are you sure people will not think that you are kidding them ?

(coz 1st Apr is Apr Fool's day!)

The reason they choose 1st Apr coz thats the day they met. (awww... so romantic.... bet you r4 will not even remember the date we met.... actually i dun too! hhahaha )

We definately had a great time at the wedding.

From the morning's gatecrashing to the nite's dinner, everything is so nice and fun!

(Actually since i got so many of my good gfs getting married i might as well open her and bring her to all the weddings up and coming. )

Doesn't this remind you of the movie resident evil when all the bio mutated humanoids are coming to get you....(Actually this is how horrible the toady prince and the rest of the toads are)

Whats holding them back is the bicycle chain ( from me -- heehee) coz we all know that the toady prince will have the key to the house! Since he stayed there before. Luckily princess kelene has foresight and she called me the night before to bring over the bicycle lock. wahahahahahahaaa.

Being the profession they are in, it is actually very easy for them to break open the door, come in etc. But toady prince is worried that MIL & FIL will be angry hence they "give chance" a bit.

(unlike my wedding when they took down the window grills to get in! Got my sisters in a panic... wahaahha)

But they still off the main electric supply!!! The 'sisters' were shocked and we keep asking them to on back the power supply coz Princess kelene is in her room with the aircon on so that her makeup will not melt and not to mention she's in her gown....

The Smug toads insisted we open the door then they will on the power supply back.

But all it takes was a phone call from Princess Kelene to the toady prince
