***Not meant for Tv.I am never ever going to do this again.
Silly me today brought Mini v to do a stupid thing.
I chanced upon an advert on TCS 8 regarding some contest thingy for Baby Girls age 1-3.
Since everyone is telling me that mini v is uber kawaii so i decided to bring her to try it out.
Bad mistake.
First, there is a massive jam on CTE and we are late for the registration.
Second, the place is super crowded with losta bb gals and parents!
Was kinda disappointed when i was told that 150 places were taken and there will choose 50 out of the 150. Wanted to leave for breakfast with Smellycat and Mini v when i heard that they might extend another 50 places coz they couldn't get enough cute bbs, so i stayed in the queue and managed to get a no for Mini v - 190! Phew.
Smellycat and Mini v went to have breakfast while i stayed in the queue. When her turn nearth, i gave him a buzz and he brought mini v up. Tidied her a bit and soon its her turn.
Talked to the judges a bit and when the judges asked whats her special talent, i was like wtf?? what talent? Ha! But then i told her making faces and Mini v is able to deliver Happy, Sad and Angry Face on que so i felt quite relieved.
We then left to hang around and waited for to see whether she will be in top 50.
From 220 to 50 to 12 to 8 to 5 bb gals in the end! And the 5 Bb gals will compete together with the 5 Bb Boys that were chosen last week.
Which means that if Mini V gets any further, we will be staying at the venue till like maybe 7pm in the evening!!! OMG!
Soon they called out the Nos and She is one of them! :D
We had a quick lunch and she had a power nap before the top 12 selection starts.
This time Mini v wasn't that cooperative. When Kym Ng (the host) asked her her name, she keep quiet happily chewing on her jellybean. And she didn't do her faces on cue. I swear i feel like disappearing with her *poof* at that moment.
Naturally she never get into the Top 12. I don't expect her to be coz she is really not performing. This is Tv. They want entertainment but Mini v is not giving them that. So what she looks cute?
Smellycat: Maybe Mini v don't wanna perform coz she is tired and wanted to go home.Ha!I know Mini V's tired but she don't behave like she is.
She is still happily playing afool with the rest of the kids.
And i think it is also a not bad day for her coz she gotten 2 lollipops and a big bag of Jellybeans which she managed to get Smellycat to buy for her. :)
But I find it disturbing that things can get ugly even at a bb's contest.
I've seen Parents quarreling about who to take care of the kids, blaming each other when the kid didn't perform.
Some parents actually shove their not so cute kids to the people in charge telling them that their child is super cute and just needed a chance to "show face" "-____-
Another mum i saw was that her Bb girl was obviously unhappy and crying all the way from queueing till the meeting with the Judge till end of judging.
I cannot believe she hang around waiting for the results to see if her Bb got into the top 50.
How to get in when your bb gal is crying?
If i am her , i would have go home to pacify the Bb, Poor Baby simply look exhuasted and traumatised!
Not to mention those wierd clothes the kids are in!
I've seen one dressed as an Angel complete with wings.
Some come in elaborate dresses and cheongsums.
And i've seen one Plump/Fat watever kid in skimpy looking halter midriff showing off her tummy and short denim skirt with boots.
I am not kidding.
The worse is, she had make up on and it is that of those SQ gals!
Blue Eyeshadow, Shiny pink blusher and Red (wth??) Lips.
What is the Mum thinking dressing her up like this??
Anyway didn't take much pics.
I was badly traumatised for the whole event HA!
