Mini v updates.

So sad.

Nowadays there is no point i write non mini v related entries.

Everyone just wanna read about her.

Mummyhelen even tell me dun write all the nonsense stuff, write more about Mini v.

Sigh....This is my rainebowskye blog. Its all about ME ME ME ME ME!!!!

But i suspect that if i start her own violetraine blog, my readership (not that there is many) will drop drastically. Hahahahahahahaha.

Anyway, to make all Mini v Fans happy, i will try to blog more about Mini v and less me.

Mini v certainly has many incredible moments that when i sit back and think, she really had grown. Especially the way her thoughts processes.

I was trying to explain Newton's Law of Gravity to her when she was bathing coz she was splashing water and the water landed on her. In short i told her about Newton and the apple story, and explained to her that what goes up will come down due to gravity.

She seems to understand and when i asked her:

Vio: What goes up, will?
Mini v: Come down!
Vio: And this is called?
Mini v: Gravity!

I wonder if she understands, she seem so convincing!

Smellycat: Hiyah, You crazy huh? She's not even 3 yet you tell her about wat gravity???
Vio: No harm trying wat!

So to prove Smellycat wrong, i asked Mini v.

Vio: Darling, What goes up, will?
Mini v: Come down!!!
Vio: And this is the rule of?
Mini v: *Excited* UP AND DOWN!!!
Smellycat: *ROFL*
Vio: *Faint*

It is a hilarious situation but at least she gets what goes up will come down. :)



This is one of Mini v work in school.
Teacher says she did it on her own but the strokes seem big...
Hmmm....


The In thing for her now is to pretend to be her teacher and asking us to " Sit down", " Cross our legs" and "What is this?" while pointing to her homework. Hahahahahah :D


She also discovered Handphone games.
Coz She noticed Smellycat playing Solitaire and wanted to be like him.


Nowadays she demands him to pass her his phone and wanted to play solitare too. Hahahahhahahaaa:D


Started her on her Holiday homework early and she seem very enthu to do it too!


Then she tried to sneak a peek at the telly coz it is showing Handy Manny...


And then ..... ( she just wanted to get over and done with it. Hahahahah)


Her reward for doing her homework is to let her play with her Princess Megablocks.


I have an enjoyable time playing with her too.
Building all the castles and houses for the princesses.
Too bad Smellycat is "busy" and can't play with us.

No Music, No Dream.

Its been a while since i laughed soooooo hard.
Kebeen sitting next to me also laughed equally hard.


Just came home from watching Detroit Metal City (DMC).

Synopsis by Colin Geddes :

Souichi is a timid, sensitive and innately polite music geek who moves from the Japanese countryside to Tokyo with big dreams: he aspires to sing sugary love ballads and become a chart-topping sensation.

But life does not turn out the way Souichi had hoped, and the only gig he can get is that of front man for the notorious band Detroit Metal City (DMC). Wearing a cape, tights and ghostly demon makeup, Souichi storms the stage each night as Johannes Klauser II, smashing guitars and spewing verbal filth in songs about murder and rape. The band's crazy getups and destructive performances have earned them a legion of devoted, maniacal fans, who believe that Klauser is a drug-gobbling demon from hell.

To make matters worse, this reluctant rocker runs into his college crush, the demure and adorable Ms. Aikawa, who is now a magazine pop critic. Soon he is struggling to keep his wild metal stardom a secret. After defeating rival bands and winning recognition as one of Japan's top acts, DMC is challenged to a duel by death-metal icon Jack IL Dark (played to perfection by Gene Simmons of KISS). Souichi finds himself locked in a battle of satanic guitar riffs for the title of ultimate death-metal king, all while keeping Ms. Aikawa sweetly ignorant of his alter ego.
The film is pure madcap mayhem, and not so much a parody of metal bands as a comedy of manners based on Souichi's wild exploits as he tries to balance his two identities. In between Souichi's misadventures are piss-takes on fashionable J-pop trend followers, as well as send-ups of J-hip-hop and even J-riot grrrls.

This show is movie version of one of the hottest mangas in Japan- Detroit Metal City (DMC)


Detroit Metal City is based on Kiminori Wakasugi's hugely popular Japanese manga series of the same name. When the first collected works were published, the books quickly sold out and anyone left without a copy was labelled a “DMC refugee.”


Anyway Kenichi ( L, Death Note) rawks as Negishi/Johannes Klauser II.
He switches so well between the Timid Preppy Negishi to the Charmastic Klauser. Some of the slapstick moments in the show are classic too.


Not to mention Gene Simmons from KISS as the special guest star Jack IL Dark ( much to the delight of metal fans)

I am not joking when after the movie i needed my ventolin puff coz i am almost on the verge of ROTFL.

Though i cringe at the lyrics of the songs (death metal- all about death, rape, murder etcetc) but it is a wonderful movie telling us that, it cost nothing to dream!

And though sometimes your dream may seem hopeless but never give up and helping people grant their dreams will in turn make your dream come true.

Especially when your dreams will come true at the least likely of places.

I had a great time watching and if you don't think you will be offended by the profanites spoken in the movie then go catch it.

I am still smiling as i am typing this. The comic effect lasted so long on me! :)

Ninja Warrior Wannabe

Every Wednesday is Ninja Warrior Night for Smellycat and Mini v.

It started with them watching Ninja Warrior online and when Channel 5 started showing on the telly. It became a father and daughter bonding session :D

And what will happen during every Ninja Warrior session...


Mini v will place the chairs and cushions in different formations everytime without fail!! And she will cross those obstacles she "created". She will even imagine that there is water underneath.... faint....

Zoo times (Again!!)

I think the times we go zoo is like people going to orchard road.

Smellycat loves to bring mini v here just because we are friends of the zoo.

Smellycat:Must fully maximize the membership u know!!

Mini v: Yeah!!! I love to go zoo!

And when Mini v wakes up and tell him: Dadi, today we go zoo and feed kangeroo ok?
Its Zoo time again.

Not that i am complaining, i love going the zoo with them. But sometimes i hope we go other places such as the bird park or the botanical gardens. Must have variety mah!

Mini v dun really fancy birds and i really dunno why.

Smellycat is very silly. He would rather drag mini v down a slope like this then to buckle her up in her pram. Told him to do so so that he can push her down normally and that she will not topple over. Argued with me and insisted to drag her down like this.


Even Mini v feels this is silly and keeps on asking Smellycat : Dadi u ok or not?

It was drizzling on and off so we got her this poncho meant for kids.
She look like a bright green dustbin. Ha!
