Was sending Garlic off when we chanced upon Dora at the Airport.

There are some Dora event going on at the Airport this month and just nice we get to see one of the live performances.

The Doc is in.

It all started with Smellycat telling Mini v that his calf muscle hurts.

Guess too much PT for him.

Then Mini v being the sweetie pie that she is, told him that she is a Dr and she will help to treat him.

She gave herself a title.

As i was in the bathroom i can only make out part of their conversation.

Then today when we were driving home, we were talking about her being a Dr.

And why we are back to this topic is coz Smellycat complain of being painful here and there.

Smellycat: Later i go and see our daughter, she also dr.
Vio: Oh yah... Hahahahaha
Smellycat: Whats her name again? Dr wat?
Vio: I cannot remember.
Smellycat: Damn ... i cannot too.
Vio: But i remember it is a thing, it is not a name of a person or animal but a thing.
Smellycat: Er... Dr... fark!!! wat la
Vio: Wait i call Mum to ask her.

Then i proceed to make the phonecall and Mummyhelen is very puzzled to receive my call asking her to ask Mini v she is Dr "wat".

MummyHelen: What are you talking about?
Vio: Just ask her (mini v) what is her Dr name, Dr "wat"?
MummyHelen: *shouts* Darling!! Talk to your Mummi!!!!!
Mini v: * in the background* I dun wannnnn!!! ( she thinks i am coming to bring her home when she's having fun at Mummyhelen's place)
MummyHelen: She dun wan to listen.
Vio: *trying to remain cool* Just ask her what is her DR Name la!!!!!
MummyHelen: Darling, you mummy ask you what is your Dr name???

Then we got the answer... finally...

Mini v: I AM DOCTOR ERASER!!!!

Smellycat and i burst out laughing!!!

Thats the answer we are looking for the whole nite!!

As to why Dr Eraser?

We have no idea too.

There are no limits to her imagination. :D

Closure.

5 day wake is no joke.

Mentally and physically exhuasting.

But at moments like this, i really appreciate that i have a big extended family to help, comfort and to entertain each other.

Everyone tells us to be happy coz grandma is off to a better place.

I guess so in a way...

Gotten some videos and pictures for Garlic to see.

Though i am not very close with grandma but i do feel a tinge of saddness when i saw my relative brawling.

But we have to move on no matter how much we cannot bear too.

Long Distance.

Garlic couldn't make it for the wake coz he is in Canada for work.

He wanted to come back but he couldn't leave his show hanging there in Canada not to mention about getting flights back last min is difficult too.

He only managed to get a flight to come back on Thursday.

Though everyone tell him that it is ok but i knew deep down it is not ok for our resident emo king.

I know he wanted to be back home, to be able to grief with everyone else.

It was through our msn conversation that it occured to me .

So i brought my laptop to the wake.

Set it up ala raiding style.

With mic ( i use one that resembles a KTV mic) and speakers and all.

Then i buzz Garlic through msn and...


Viola! Garlic's able to check out the wake via video conferencing!

Everyone gets to talk to him and silly boy him broke down (he's always the more emo one in the family). I think it is harder to cope especially you are all alone overseas.


He wanted me to place the lappy facing the altar so that he can say a prayer to Grandma.

I guess no distance is too great to mourn for your love one.

And i am truly grateful for how technology enables you to do it.

On a lighter side, how to keep the young ones entertained at a wake.


Wahhhh!!! Gambling Princesses!!!

Chill.... they are just matching 2 of the same kind and placing it into another pile.
And also watching psp (that is loaded with their fav cartoons)at the same time.

Keeps them entertained and thus not running around, feeling restless and creating a ruckus.

Anyway its a 5 day wake and today is only day 2, i gotta think of more stuff to keep the little ones occupied.

Any suggestions? :)

Cheer you up.

Grandma went to heaven today.

Details are abit hazy but i get the gist of the story.

Sigh.

I may seem indifferent but i do still care.

Though i am not her fav grandchild or am very close to her, but there are people whom i love such as my Papi that is sad by her passing.

Not to mention she does dote on Mini v.

C'est la vie i guess.

Was at Giordano getting white tees for the wake when i saw this.


Wondering how will everyone's reaction be if i wear this to the wake.

I think Papi will suffer another stroke.

But on a lighter note, just want everyone to be happy and be happy for her that she went to a happy place without all the suffering and the burden of her illnesses.

Thanks for everyone's concern, i am ok.
And i think that being a nurse makes me lose the ability to grief.

Hopefully that's not true.

Oh well.

Was doing my harddisk housekeeping when i chanced upon this video of Mini v's own rendition to Jay Chou's 听妈妈的话 that was recorded sometime back around Oct 08.

To Mini v, Jay is affectionaly known as Zhou Lun Lun.
Jay's youngest fan in the making.
She actually knows the chrous and slurs in like Jay! :D

The Wedding Special.

When you are post nite and you cannot sleep makes you do crazy things.

There are some requests to show my wedding pics.
And i replied that i cringe when i see them.

Actually i really cringe.
I think everyone will too.
But its a fact that i took them.
And its a fact that i look like that back then.

7 years ago when digital camera are 2mp and you dun get soft copies of your wedding shots.

Everything is in flim. Seriously,i doubt they even photoshopped the pictures, coz if they do my face will not look so so so so fat and round.

I think i look like tweety bird with my big hairdo, puffy face and big head.

But suprisingly, Smellycat photographs well.

Either he know how to pose well or the photographer likes him more. >.<

Please note that all the pictures are taken by my trusty SE w902 and the originals are all prints.
Hence some photo quality look really lousy.


This is us when we ROM.
He is wearing off the rack hugo boss shirt and i am wearing a off the rack Celia Loe dress.
Look kinda dorky now but i really love the way we dress back then coz though we didn't plan somehow we ended getting clothes that is within the spectrum of my fav color green.
The beautiful hand bouquet is ordered and given to us by the usual gang.


When the bridal studio i went to tell me that i can have a Made to measure dress, i am really clueless so what i did is i showed her this:


I wanted to wear this!! Vera Wang for Barbie, the bridal collection 98.

But then the lady told me that they will not MTM a gown that has black trimmings coz not many people appreciate and if i really wanted to do it then i will have to buy the gown at an extra of $800.

Meow.........

So of coz i didn't. Back when i was 23, very poor thing, don't have much money.
Not to mention the photo package cost me a bomb (at that time) so don't wanna spend extra.

So i took this and show her.....


Princess Padme's Lake Como dress when she is at the "Naboo Retreat"
(Star Wars Fans will know what i am talking about).
The designer looked at me with a dunno how to explain look to me and i think she must be wondering why is this gal so weird...

Sensing her awkwardness, i then show her an alternative.


Princess Padme's Picnic Dress , in which she wore when she was sharing an itimate picnic with Anakin in the field. Supposed to have a "soft, floating, ethereal feel" and the overall feel was meant to have her very pretty and relaxed.

But suprisingly, the designer is ok with this and we work on the design inspired by this.

Smellycat: You think you acting in star wars huh? You want me to carry lightsaber or not?
Vio: "-___-


This is the end result.
Usually brides have nice tube, halter, mermaid, cupcake dresses etcetc but mine is a star wars inspired gown with sleeves. Ha!!
Not to mention i look so cock in this pic coz i before i am ready my friend took the pic. Duh .

Behind every picture there is a story and this is no exception.
Prior to this shot, smellycat stepped on a twig and the twig broke and stabbed me in the foot.
Damn painful and not to mention the blood will attract mosquitoes (and i was bitten a lot by the mozzies for all these outdoor shots).
I was super geezed off and fed up with him when he insist that he didn't step on the twig ( i saw him ) and say that i am not careful.
We were bickering and the photographer was at a loss at what to do and probably thinking how come got couple quarreling during their bridal shoot.
Hence i guess this is his way to shut us up. Ha!!

I don't like the evening gown provided by the bridal studio, hence i gotten a Vera Wang from Ebay! Ha!
Though i cannot afford to get married in a Vera Wang's Wedding gown, i get to wear a Vera Wang's evening gown. Better than nothing. And it is also in turquoise! :D


Post wedding, Smellycat cannot be bothered to dye his hair black and he decided to go all macho and shave it all off!

Anyway, i was telling smellycat the other night that if i can do it all over again, probably i will put in more effort to plan, scrap the expensive and cringe worthy stupid bridal photos taking and probably to have a theme then to be so slipshod in this wedding.

I think we are the most bochup (cannot be bothered) couple getting married back then.
"Anything la" was the most common phase said by Smellycat.

Even our wedding montage was done my yours truly the night before the wedding on using powerpoint! Ha!! (Initally we don't even feel the need to show a wedding montage)

And Silly Smellycat turned up to fetch the bride (yours truly) in his no 3 pants (dark navy blue)instead of his suit's pants (black) coz :

1) Hangover from the bachelor night.
2) Didn't on the light when he was dressing.

And his massive entourage of brothers ( more than 10 of them) didn't even notice it!
It was Jean (one of my sisters) who pointed out to me that his pants was of a different color and me yanking his pants to see the label confirmed it.
Ha!! :D
All these are silly but sweet memories i guess.

Next month will be our 7th year wedding anniversary.
Time really flies.

Supermodel.

Decided to sign Mini v with Impact Models after much consideration.

Afterall, preschool education is so expensive, she might as well start earning her own school fees.
Ok. I AM KIDDING REGARDING THIS PART. :D
This is what i usually says when people ask me why i sign her with a child modelling agency.
The look on their face is priceless. Ha!:D

The real reason is .....

Since she likes to take pictures and photographs well, why not?

I will not force her if she doesn't like to do it.

I am till traumatised by last year's super tots audition.

The good thing about this agency is that they promise that if Mini v can't perform on the shoot, for whatever reasons such as cranky or not feeling well, we can go back without any compensation. They will not force the child.

And even if she doesn't get any assignments for her whole 15mth stint with them, at least i get an updated portfolio of her with pictures of her taken every 4 months.

Mini v is really an easy gal to shoot and the whole phototaking session took about 10 mins and it is done!

Smellycat told me that the agency should have their reasons to choose this picture after all they are the professional in this field.
But somehow the more i look at it the more the photo grows on you.
I think its the little sparkle in her eyes. :D

Welcome to the World.

Mini v has a new sister!

Before you guys get excited, i am not preggie.

Its her Godma Ser's baby.

So it is her Godsister.

Heh heh.

Gotten a call from Ser early in the morning 0525hrs telling me Bb Alyssa is here!

Woohoo!! I jolt Smellycat from his sleep and tell him that.

So happy for her :D

I went down after the car boot sale at school to visit both mummy and bb.

Bb Alyssa is born on 6th June 09 and Mini v is born on 2nd June 06.


Was telling Ser, Bb Alyssa is 669 and Mini v is 266.
Both of them are half a devil. ( coz 666 is usually associated with the devil)

Celebration.

Nothing fanciful on the actual day of Mini v's birthday.
Just some simple family time.
Last min decided to get her a slice of Birthday cake so that she can blow the candles!
Ha!!

She is obessessed with her Diego toys!
She wanna play time all the time and refused to go out ( to go to MummyAngie's place so that i can go to work)!

But the good that come out of these toys is that it simply's fuels her creativity and her general knowledge.

Go Diego Go! is a good children show and Mini v learns a lot of animals from there.

There is this animal from the box that got Smellycat and i puzzled.

Smellycat: How come got one lioness here?
Mini v: Dadi!! This one is PUMA not LION!
Smellycat: O.O

I then took the box and realised that it is the mountain lion (also known as Puma) set.

Smellycat: How the fark she knows?
Vio: What else? Watch her Go Diego Go!
Smellycat: ...........

I also like the fact that she learns to love animals and to protect them! :D

Birthday Wishes.

So fast its been 3 years and time really flies.

You were then Bb raine now known as Mini v.

I wonder what other nicks will you be called in the coming years.

You were 3.14kg and 50cm on 2nd June 06.

And you are now 15kg and 98.5cm on 2nd June 09.

Whatever it may be, all i want you to know that you are the best thing that ever happened to me and it is you who changed me.

To be tolerant.
T be patient.
To slow down at times to move in sync with you.
To know how to appreciate.
To see the lighter side of things.
To not take things for granted.
And to know how to love unconditionally.
