Why does the chicken cross the road?

I was crossing the road (after parking my car) to get to the office when i saw this.


The Hen is chasing the bb chick to cross the road!
Right across my path!
Uber Kawaii can!!


Apparently, there is a whole bunch of chickens that lives around my office!
