Every year without fail, i will try to log in all those who SMSes me.Many thanks for all these Beautiful Birthday SMSes. Really appreciate it a lot.

This year my Birthday is really a combo.

Birthday + work ( PM shift) + Sick+ Smellycat's departure for OBO = 1st Sep 2007!

Like i mentioned the other post, i dread for today to come as he will be gone for almost 4 months!

Oh well, a man gotta do what a man gotta do. There is nothing much i can do anyway. Its his Job. I did my part by leaving so that i dun have to do this anymore which i am glad i did, if not i'll be getting ready to go to INDIA ( that is if i am still in SAF)!

Though Smellycat and i bicker all of the time, there is just that feeling that when he is around( in town i mean), i kinda feel more at ease and secure.

I still remember one of my 1st few entries in this online retreat were due to me missing him when he goes to guam for training and that was in '04! Time really flies and many things have been changed since then.

That was only for 2 weeks and i am going crazy. Now is 4 months...... i wonder how long can i last.

Wahahahahahahhahahahaha.

Though some people will think it is no big deal. Probably it is really no big deal anyway ( many people go overseas to work) but it is the way they travel, his jobscope etc which i can't help but to worry anyway.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Guess this is the outcome when you know too much.

Actually i was pretty composed till this send off part when we get to wave them off.

It was then i heard.....

I turned and i see wives, gfs, kids, mothers, tearing n sobbing etc....

OMG HOLY MAMA!!!

Actually after going missions, this is the 1st time i see this!!! Maybe all of the time i am the person going so i am pretty shocked to see this!

Emotions overwhelmed me and in less than 1 min, i am one of those ppl tearing too!

Big willy came over and kinda laughed at me, telling me it is no big deal and i should ok mah, after all i've been to mission too.

I just it is different when you are not wearing Green anymore.

Nothing much happened really, just dropped Bb Raine at MummyAngie's place , had some yummy noodles ( birthday noodles), napped and went to work.

Felt pretty lousy as i am really sick ( URTI with the works) and missing Smellycat already (prob due to the emotion rollercoaster).

Got a pleasant surprise when i went to work though.

As i was happily taking pics and surfing net, avia did some sewing during work and this is her latest creation.

Nothing much happened after that and at night we went for dinner/movie ( evans almighty) in town. Wanted to eat at mushroom pot but was full so we settled for some japanese food at cuppage.

Have to "shoo" her many a times away when i'm cleaning the furkid's poopoo.

One fine day, as i was vacumming the house, she's very cooperative and even climbed up her stool and sit there patiently and quietly looking at me vacumming the house.

When i stopped and wanted to keep the vacum cleaner..... guess wat?

Friends of the zoo.

Woke up this morning by Bb Raine pinching my face.

*ouch*

Went to get her morning milk when something struck me.

Asked Smellycat if we wanna bring her to the Zoo.

To my surprise, Smellycat say sure. *O.o*

Bb Raine lately is interested in music and animals, she have some favs: Bear ( Bear!), dogs(wooh wooh),Lion (Aye-ion) , Giraffe ( yeh yeh),Elephant ( yeh yeh ),tiger ( ger), fish ( Tish).

Think the Bb Enstein series really helps to build up her vocabulary.

But something cute about her is when the animal names becomes too complicated for her to pronounce, all the animals become "yeh yeh". I also don't know why but i just find it uber kawaii.

Anyway, we did the usual morning chores, hesitated for a moment if we really wanted to go coz of the treacherous black clouds looming but in the ended decided to have faith and go on with our initial plan.

Reached the zoo and thank God the weather is pretty fine. Cooling, not much sun, in fact it is perfect! :)

The crowd is another story. :p

Had lunch at KFC while Bb raine is still napping from the car ride.

Her timing's perfect. After we finished our lunch , she woke up in time to visit her fav animals!

Lastly, So Happy to sign up for Friends of the Zoo!! After some calculation we decided that it is indeed more worth it to sign up for it. So now, Smellycat, Bb Raine, Pooh bear and me are Friends of the Zoo! :)

Feel like eating ice cream today.

June and July just whizzed past.

Actually it didn't really whizz past. I guess when you are free to do what you wish, time just passed like this *snap*.

Its been 8 days since i have started work and to my surprise, work is Great!

I guess working in a regimental environment last time, to be able to be giving the freedom to do what i feel like doing is really liberating.( my hair is shades of burgundy now-heeheehee) Not that i have problems following rules and regulations anyway, never gotten more than 3 extras for my 8 years in the force.

July is really immersing myself in the world of property. Listing, presentation, exclusive, viewings, buyers, sellers, co broke, valuation etcetc are words that are sprouting outta my mouth everyday. Many people are commenting about the property market now, many people are jumping in to the wagon now by becoming agents themselves, i've even seen a TCS actor coming for the course!

But as for me, i find this a learning oppurtunity and a skill to master. It is not easy to market a place to sell. Not to mention you gotta know all the terms, legal implications( so as not to implicate yourself) and most importantly, presentation and marketing skills.

Some people urge me to go full time, but i really dun wan my nursing skills to go waste. Anyway my current nursing job (shifts + 2 day off) allows me to have the flexibility to plan my viewings and also have time to spend with Bb Raine so what more can i ask for? :P

The only thing i dread is Smellycat going away coming 1st Sep and it will be kinda long ( 4mths) till end dec. Whether Christmas we will be spending together as a family is still a big ?.

Anyway , whether i like it or not he is going so might as well enjoy this month with him and Bb Raine.

Really feel like going for a walk and eating some Haagen Daz Melon Ice cream today.
