Lapin = Rabbit.

Back in January, when we chanced upon the Suzuki Lapin at a car show, Smellycat had been thinking of it ever since.
When ever his mates talk about changing their rides, he will go and tell them he will get the Lapin.
His mates being typical Singaporeans who wants value for money will start to rant at him saying that he is crazy to pay close to 60k for a freaking 660cc car. Not to mention the decrease in horsepower from our Hellokitty Plus of >15obhp to Lapin's 54 (gasp!) bhp.

What Lapin? It should be call Tortue (french for tortoise) instead.

Smellycat couldn't care less what they say coz to him he would rather be special and not conform to the norms.

Smellycat: What they know about style? Style is Priceless!

Ha!

As for me, in some ways i agree with Smellycat. Though it is silly to pay this amount for Lapin, I would also rather drive a car i feel good in rather than getting one just because it is value for money.

We almost wanted to get another (as claimed by his mates) value for money car but in the end we just couldn't get ourselves to commit.

The feeling's like marrying a freaking digusting fella and waking up to see the fella's face everyday makes it super unbearable. Ha!

I believe in Love at 1st sight for cars too!
It happened to HelloKitty Plus, it happened again for Lapin.

I love the Lapin for the fact that it look has a Modern Retro Look!
It look like a updated version of the Mini Morris.
Everything about it from the shape of the car to the gear shift screams retro!
I'm a sucker for Retro stuff. :P

Enough is enough for Smellycat.
He set his mind to it and decided to get himself the biggest bday present for himself.

A Suzuki Lapin.

Silly him just march up to the car dealer and say :
"I wanna buy the Lapin! Gimme your best price!"

*faint*

At then end, both the car dealer and him are happy people.
For the car dealer: Easiest deal to close!
For Smellycat: He've gotten his Fav Lapin!


I start to feel nostalgic when i drove Turbo for the last time.
So i snapped a pic of it. After all, this Turbo baby had been with us thru losta difficult times and it's also the car that Smellycat drove me to the hospital that morning Mini v is due.

Turbo is not named turbo for nothing, this baby looks like your another other mpv but when you pump it up....... Vrrroooooommmmm.....pppppssssttttt......... Hahahahahahahah :P
Ikea trips will never been the same without it. It can fit a blardly 1.8m cupboard!
Not to mention our "no backseat" issue.
People who gotten a ride from us will know. Ha!

Finally its the end of the spectrum.
The 20-something spectrum i mean.
Not that i am really looking forward to the Big 3-0 anyway.
But at least Smellycat is always one step before me! Ha!

This year he had a pleasant surprise when his fellow Batchboys celebrated with him with a cake no less! O.o

I couldn't believe it myself too! O.O

And he said that they keep whining that "Its so Gay! Its so Gay!!"

And what did we do?

Wanted to go for a Buffet at the restaurant at night safari, then to visit Night Safari itself.

But the cat had to ruin it all by saying : I got IPPT the next day ley.
( meaning no late night please.)

"-__- Geeez. He never fails to surprise me back when i wanted to surprise him.

Oh well.

We ended up looking for a steakhouse (he got craving for steaks) and we decided to go Ashton Steakhouse at Katong as we are:

1. Really clueless and lazy. All the other steakhouses are in town.
2. Smellycat is damn hungry.
3. It has no queue finally! Everytime we drive pass the queue will be snaking with people!

The prices is not we had expected. We thought it would be darn expensive but it is very reasonable and though it is not those super high class steakhouse but the food is good and its value for money (a sirlion is about $12+ ?).

A while back when the SuperBand Advertisement was plastered all over the place, i actually bugged Kebeen and Scott to form a band and lets go join the competition.

It was during one of our blading sessions when it started.

Kebeen and Scott can jam pretty well and i like to sing.

So the conclusion is:

Lead Singer: Vio
Lead Guitarist: Kebeen
Bass Guitarist : Scott

Then we feel like its a bit lacking.
We probably need a keyboardist or drummer.

We even wanted to rope Smellycat in to join us (desprate measures) .
He got no musical talent but we reckon maybe we can get him to be a Deejay instead.
Nowadays it is common for the Deejay to be in a group (something like DA Mouth's style).

I even tot of a name for him!
DJ Alphie!
Quite cool huh. HA!

But when he told me that it probably cost $5k or more to get the full Dj stuff i gave up the idea.
I tot we get him an ipod and maybe a console or something we are set to go.
Hahahahhahahahahaha.

Then came to the image of the band.
Naming the band took us forever,
Actually its from fort road to changi jetty (while blading) and we haven't even came to a consensus.
Finally on our way back nearing macdonalds when a cat just dash pass....

Vio: Lets call our group SmellyMao (mao is mandarin for cat).
Smellycat: Hey! Dun use my name!

Ignoring him, i go on rattling about how our band should be.
All using kitty inspired thingy.

Vio: Kebeen will go get a HelloKitty guitar, Scott will go get a doreamon one ( doreamon is a robot kitty without ears) and i will wear kitty ears and sing!!!

Kebeen and Scott couldn't believe me when i said it and gave me the totally shocked look.
Smellycat couldn't help but to laugh till he nearly tripped and fall.

Smellycat was sniggering all the way during the discussion.

Scott: I very long never play bass gutiar already.
Kebeen: Where to get the HelloKitty Guitar? Got sell meh?
Smellycat: Lead singer cannot sing well, bass guitarist dunno how long never touch bass gutiar, lead gutiarist just sold away his guitar.... What kind of fark band is this? Wahahhahahahahahaha.....

Needless to say, we never join Superband.

Kebeen: Never mind la, we practise now, 2 years later then join la.

Bubbles everywhere.

Mini v is uber obsessed with bubbles.

All started with bubble time at Gymboree.
She will go " bubble... bubblerrrrrrrrrr...."

Ha.

Anyway, Smellycat got her many bubble toys (bubble machine, bubble guns) but it dawn to me that nowadays bubble making is so automatic!

What happened to the good old use straw and blow bubbles?

Wanted to teach her the good old way but was thinking that using liquid detergent is dangerous (toxic la) so i went to toysrus and got her one of those non toxic bubble kits.

We then put on our wellys and had a great time bubble making (bursting for her) at the corridor!


Mini v: I think a bubble flew into my eye.


She wanted to whack the bubble on her face.


Mini v: Bubbles!!! Kill u all die arhhhh!!!
