Finally its the end of the spectrum.
The 20-something spectrum i mean.
Not that i am really looking forward to the Big 3-0 anyway.
But at least Smellycat is always one step before me! Ha!

This year he had a pleasant surprise when his fellow Batchboys celebrated with him with a cake no less! O.o

I couldn't believe it myself too! O.O

And he said that they keep whining that "Its so Gay! Its so Gay!!"

So Gay to celebrate your Batchboy's Birthday?

(Actually a bit ley. Tot they should be like *Pat Shoulders* Yo bro! Happy Birthday huh! *pass can of beer* Hahahahahahah!!!)

3 Parts celebration, How lucky can he get?

And what did we do?

Wanted to go for a Buffet at the restaurant at night safari, then to visit Night Safari itself.

But the cat had to ruin it all by saying : I got IPPT the next day ley.
( meaning no late night please.)

"-__- Geeez. He never fails to surprise me back when i wanted to surprise him.

Oh well.

We ended up looking for a steakhouse (he got craving for steaks) and we decided to go Ashton Steakhouse at Katong as we are:

1. Really clueless and lazy. All the other steakhouses are in town.
2. Smellycat is damn hungry.
3. It has no queue finally! Everytime we drive pass the queue will be snaking with people!

The prices is not we had expected. We thought it would be darn expensive but it is very reasonable and though it is not those super high class steakhouse but the food is good and its value for money (a sirlion is about $12+ ?).

A while back when the SuperBand Advertisement was plastered all over the place, i actually bugged Kebeen and Scott to form a band and lets go join the competition.

It was during one of our blading sessions when it started.

Kebeen and Scott can jam pretty well and i like to sing.

So the conclusion is:

Lead Singer: Vio
Lead Guitarist: Kebeen
Bass Guitarist : Scott

Then we feel like its a bit lacking.
We probably need a keyboardist or drummer.

We even wanted to rope Smellycat in to join us (desprate measures) .
He got no musical talent but we reckon maybe we can get him to be a Deejay instead.
Nowadays it is common for the Deejay to be in a group (something like DA Mouth's style).

I even tot of a name for him!

Quite cool huh. HA!

But when he told me that it probably cost $5k or more to get the full Dj stuff i gave up the idea.
I tot we get him an ipod and maybe a console or something we are set to go.
Hahahahhahahahahaha.

Then came to the image of the band.
Naming the band took us forever,
Actually its from fort road to changi jetty (while blading) and we haven't even came to a consensus.
Finally on our way back nearing macdonalds when a cat just dash pass....

Vio: Lets call our group SmellyMao (mao is mandarin for cat).
Smellycat: Hey! Dun use my name!

Ignoring him, i go on rattling about how our band should be.
All using kitty inspired thingy.

Vio: Kebeen will go get a HelloKitty guitar, Scott will go get a doreamon one ( doreamon is a robot kitty without ears) and i will wear kitty ears and sing!!!

Kebeen and Scott couldn't believe me when i said it and gave me the totally shocked look.
Smellycat couldn't help but to laugh till he nearly tripped and fall.

Smellycat was sniggering all the way during the discussion.

Scott: I very long never play bass gutiar already.
Kebeen: Where to get the HelloKitty Guitar? Got sell meh?
Smellycat: Lead singer cannot sing well, bass guitarist dunno how long never touch bass gutiar, lead gutiarist just sold away his guitar.... What kind of fark band is this? Wahahhahahahahahaha.....

Needless to say, we never join Superband.

Kebeen: Never mind la, we practise now, 2 years later then join la.

Bubbles everywhere.

Mini v is uber obsessed with bubbles.

All started with bubble time at Gymboree.
She will go " bubble... bubblerrrrrrrrrr...."

Ha.

Anyway, Smellycat got her many bubble toys (bubble machine, bubble guns) but it dawn to me that nowadays bubble making is so automatic!

What happened to the good old use straw and blow bubbles?

Wanted to teach her the good old way but was thinking that using liquid detergent is dangerous (toxic la) so i went to toysrus and got her one of those non toxic bubble kits.

We then put on our wellys and had a great time bubble making (bursting for her) at the corridor!


Mini v: I think a bubble flew into my eye.


She wanted to whack the bubble on her face.


Mini v: Bubbles!!! Kill u all die arhhhh!!!


Mini v: Wattttt????? No more bubbles???

Avia made this strawberry flavoured cupcakes from Muji a few weeks ago and she tells me that is is uber easy.
Nothing can go wrong.
Just follow the instructions.

Decided to take the leap of faith and try it.
What else could go horribly wrong with premixes?

After getting the extra ingredients needed with it (e.g milk and eggs) , the journey begins....

Mix all the ingredients with the electric mixer (need to put it to use!!) and poured the mixture into the little cups provided.


Baking in the lowbudget oven.
Was praying that the cupcakes dun explode or something.
If not that will be the end of my baking adventures. Ha! :P


Came back to check on it . So far so good.

I suck at pouring the melted white chocolate on top of the cupcakes.
It flowed everywhere!
Geez.


Not to mention a over puffed and an under puffed cupcake!
I need more practise in my estimation skills in pouring the mixture into the cups!

Just when i tot that something is very wrong with my baking skills, i went to check out avia's blog entry about the strawberry cupcakes.


Looks about the same. Heh.
So its not us.
Just that the pic on the box is too good to be true!

How to bake a cake.

First you must get an electric mixer.
Actually Avia convinced me to.

Wanted to use a whisk and beat the mixture manually but she kept telling me that it will not work.

Oh well.

Decided to listen to her after all she is more experience in this baking business.

Smellycat tells me not to get coz he foresee me not baking anything.
But i am determined to prove him wrong.

Not to mention the Oven incident when i try to convince him to buy me a oven and he insisted that we DO have an oven at home.
We bickered and i left the store feeling pretty upset.
But he was right! I went to the kitchen immediately to see when i got home and its indeed an oven (low budget kind) sitting where our toaster used to be.
It just dawn to me that Mummyhelen replaced it for me when stupid smellycat set the toaster on fire the other time toasting some otah thingy.
I totally forgot about it.
Luckily i never insist to buy the oven if not..... :P

But I wanna bake something !
At least to try. Hee.

It was a very spontaneous moment when i decided to drag Scott and Kebeen to go with me to Best Denki after dinner to get the electric mixer.


There are so many kinds on sale! But i immediately zoomed in to the low budget ones.
1st timer only.
Dun need to buy so pro equipment.
Heh heh :P

Buying a low budget mixer with these guys drives me crazy too.

After staying there for like half an hour, i've decided to buy the philips one which has a 3 speed plus turbo and a whole lot of accessories and it doesn't look like it will fall apart after using it for a few times.

Conclusion?
Go shopping for girly stuff with girls!
Guys will drive you crazy instead.

Plastic Bite.

Realised that i've chipped a few of my tooth.
My tongue got a few cuts by the chips.

Decided to go and visited a dentist regarding this issue.
Explained to her about the chips and the cuts.
Thought that it would be a cleaning session and maybe a few patches here and there.

Dentist: Hmmm...
Vio: ???
Dentist: Do you know you grind your teeth?
Vio: I don't.
Dentist: Does your hubby tells you that you grind your teeth when u sleep?
Vio: My hubby sleeps like a pig. How will he know?
Dentist: *Grins* Then do you wake up with a clenched jaw feeling?
Vio: No?
Dentist: *can sense that i am not convinced* Come let me show you....

OMG!!! I never knew that! How come no one ever tells me! And i've been married to smellycat for like almost 6 years and he never knew??
I am super convinced that a pig is sleeping next to me!

After much convincing by the dentist not to grind away the rest of my teeth, i've decided to order (have to customise) this teeth splint thingy that i wear before i sleep everynite. Freaking heartpain coz the price of this splint i can buy like maybe 1 and a half blythe doll.

Sigh.

But anyway, not that i am going to go out with it. Just wear it before i sleep.

Mary's Hamsters gave birth to 4 other little Hammies and she gave me one of them!

Meet the new member to this already chaotic household.


He/She (we dunno?) has no name yet so we just call it Hamster.

Mini v is afraid to touch it but likes to see it run around the tank .
Smellycat thinks it is pretty cool coz it makes a buzzing sound like a tattoo machine.
Furkids as usual are the most excited coz they got reality tv on 24/7.
As for me, its a kawaii furball but all the responsiblities of taking care of it falls on me.

Been procrastinating this for a while. Finally did it.
Cleared Mini v's room.
Organised her toys and books and wardrobe.
Created this corner in the living room for her next to smellycat's workstation.
So that she have her special space in the house too.
She was grinning and squealing with glee with she saw it.
Really makes my day. All the hard work is worth it.
