MuiMui Snacks.

Mentioned recently about helping my parents to run their foodstall.

My parents recently took over a small quaint looking stall to sell nonya kuehs, chwee kuehs, dry mee siam, glutineous rice (luo mi fan) etcetc. Menu varies depending on kueh availability.

The stall operates from 0730hrs-1200hrs and business been good so far.

MuiMui Snacks - Funky name inspired by everyone's precious little darling.
(in case you are wondering, my parents calls Miniv "muimui" (cantonese for little sister)

Ok, i am super bad with the names of the kuehs, after selling so many days, i still don't know most of their names. And when the customers asked me what is what, i'll usually turn and ask mummyhelen for help.

Wahahahhahahahahaha.


Some funky 9 layer kueh and dunno what yellow/green kueh.



Coconut coated kueh that comes in yellow, green, red and white.



Ok, this one i know, Carrot Cake! But the blue one i dunno. Think its glutenious rice cake with coconut(again).


The orangey looking balls are called oneh oneh and the brown ones are called kueh ko sui ( not sure of the spelling)

Thank God i hate coconuts and will not touch the kuehs! Can you imagine i love coconuts and kuehs and polish off a few pieces every morning i am there..... "-__- ( There goes the diet!!!)

Was feeding Mini V some salmon sashimi when she reached for the lemon slice on the plate.

Monkey Business.



Took this video a while back during the Zoo trip with Avia, Rayner, Caleb and MiniV.

MiniV thinks that monkeys made a particular blabbling sound (due to the Baby Enstein Dvds she watched), whereas Rayner saw a Siemang howling as we walked into the zoo hence he thinks monkeys makes this "Woo Wooo Woooooooooo" sound.

But the most classic part is at the end when i asked Rayner :
" How come you and meimei the monkey different?"

Check out his "huh? wth, how i know??!!" expression.

Nowadays will pop by in the morning to help mummyhelen sell her ware ( kuehs and some snacks) at the kopitiam.

Think it is kinda fun to bond with my parents in this way.

Current Craze now is to sing KTV via Youtube.

Just realised that it is more economical this way , not to mention you get to sing the LATEST songs and also no one will bother how you sing. Can scream to my heart's content :P

Smellycat Updates

It didn't occur to me that i didn't "see" smellycat for like 2 mths ++ coz all the while been talking about him, looking at his pics on my laptop etcetc.

Till he told me yesterday: I've send ya some pics of myself.

Then it dawned to me.
I've been dwelling in past memories of him.
How he looks, feel, smell like now? I don't know!

Then i chanced upon his friend- Brandon's profile on Facebook, i got to see some pics of him during shoreleave in Dubai. And with the pathetic pic (botak head) he mmsed me.......

Gosh! I miss smellycat so much!


Cheeky Smellycat. Since when is he so cheeky? Omg.
I also realised something.
Something i've not noticed for the past 5 yrs married to him.
Smellycat has HAZEL eyes. I always thought that it is dark brown. Till i open up the pics he sent me. Hazel colored eyes staring back at me. Or has the air there changed his eye colors? :p


Not only Cheeky. Trying to act cool with his shades.
Also, can you see the red patch on his left temple? Apparently he fell and hit his head.

Then i asked him via msn (happened to chanced upon him at 3am coz i was doing nite shift) .

Smellycat: Hiya, no one take for me la.
Vio: Don't have pics of your lifestyle there?
Smellycat: Got a lot of people take already so i never take.
Vio: .............
Smellycat: Anyway now i botak head. Take also ugly. Not going to take anymore.
Vio: O.o !!!!!

The story behind was that Smellycat has ridiculiously long hair (for military personel ) and after much bugging from his officers ( not to mention he got one into trouble for not making him cut his hair), he got fed up and cropped it all off.

Sometimes i feel he is so silly. Not to mention extreme. He cannot be like any other soldier and have a decent haircut (so boring! or so he claims). It is either super long (thus not acceptable in military standards) or super short (so ugly -to me).


Think Smellycat can go for PrisonBreak Season 4 Audition. He fits in there perfectly with his botak head, tattoos and that look.

Oh well.

Bb Raine = Mini v = Smellykitty.

Bb Raine is like a tamagotchi.

She evolved.

She used to be called Bb Raine.
My WOW Friends started calling her Mini v. (coz i am Vio)
Then Ser mentioned she should be called Smellykitty since he is Smellycat.

So.... Mini V the SmellyKitty?

Her names are getting Funkier!

Smellycat dun believe what ever i said about Mini V's development. Sometimes i don't believe it myself.

My Bb Raine evolving?? Geez.

She blabbers like crazy now. She will miss smellycat and keep asking for him. She associates all things CAMO with him (coz he has a pair of camo berms) and insists my no. 4 uniform is "Dadis'!!!" She wants to wear her mickey sunglasses when buckled up in her car seat. She wants you to tie her hair. She wants you to play music she likes during car ride, She wants you to place both your hands on your steering wheel when you drive..... the list goes on and on.

Used to be Bb Raine, Now evolved to Mini V (Version 1.0).

Miss Me?

Oct been haywiring.

Overwhelmed by events.

Hopefully Nov is more in control.

Oh well. Too early to tell.

Had been asked many times: Why you never update your blog?

Reasons:
1. Happy doing nothing
2. Blogger's block ( no inspiration)
3. Been Facebooking instead.

A few things worth mentioning in Oct ( to the best of my memory)....

1. Bb Raine did the most classic stunt during one of the Kara Raids (WOW), she went to turn off the modem while her mum is trying to heal her party. You guys can never imagine my horror when i saw Vio not moving when i had direct cable hooked up and no way it can disconnect.

2. Went to Zoo with Bubbles + 2 monsters + Purple monster. Enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Posted photos on facebook.

3. Got my Princess A la Mode FINALLY!!! Thanks a lot for Ranna and Kelvin's help. What makes it so special is that..... This is the BIRTHDAY (Super belated) pressie from Smellycat! My 1st blythe from Smellycat. A princess ala mode. Special. :)

4. Jay chou tixs = crazy = supersold out. Luckily due to my persistance, still mananged to get one pair of $138. Read on newspaper ppl are jacking the price to as high as $1.5k! Wth!

5. Chris and Pearlyn's wedding. Lost count how manytimes i've became sister. Had fun, beautiful couple ,nice dinner :)

6. Gaming+Partying + Ktvs+ Shift work = biological clock haywiring. Nowadays i couldn't sleep till after 4am. Goes to morning shifts zonked.

7. Garlic left 88.3 JiaFm . Went to work in HK. Seems like he's having a blast.

My friends used to say i look like her.

But i found someone who looked more like her......

World Of Warcraft.

Its really a love and hate relationship with this game.

It all started in Sep 05 when R4 created SmellyCat the Orc warlock.

I pretty much hated this game for the whole of 06 coz not only R4 was pretty much obessesed with it, it didn't helped that i was preggie with BB Raine and he thought his guild (not to mention his wow gf "-___- ) was more important then us.

Kinda absurd? But its true, i was a WOW widow then.

It was pretty bad that we don't have much topics to talked about. Coz i dun understand his WOW lingo and he dun understand my Blythe obessesion so we pretty much led our own lives.

Till Bb Raine is in the pic. I resented him for not wanting to look after her. His arguement being there are many people to look after her anyway blahblahblah.

Maybe he dunno how to deal with new found fatherhood so he rather escape into the game to be Smellycat.

Gradually i dun even call him R4 anymore, i started calling him smellycat ( smelly for short).

The final straw come in Dec 06. Many things happened. It caused me so much pain and misery that i'd never ever experienced in my relationship with R4.

I almost wanted out.

But i guess with BB Raine in the pic, i couldn't just pack and leave.
Somehow we calmed things down and decided to work it through.

That was 06 and i am glad it is over.

The D day was 3rd Jan 07.

I decided i wanna WoW. I dunno why. I just wanted. So i bought the installation disc. But then i realised my laptop's specs couldn't support.

Grrrrrr........... "-___-

Crazy me went down to Courts @ Tampines and march up to the salesperson and told him i wanna buy a laptop that is meant for gaming.
The fella's eyeball nearly dropped. Afterall who come in to buy laptop to game. :P

After i got my laptop and installed the disc, i created my 1st WoW character.


Name: Airle ( coz she walked passed me when i was wondering wat to name)
Race: Undead ( better than Fat Orcs / taurens)
Class: Priest ( Medical mah! hahahahah)

Smellycat was skeptical. He don't think i can last long playing this game. He never offer me any help, asking me to figure it out myself and stopped his guild friends who wanted to help me.

When his guild friends asked him to let me join their guild, his standard reply will be : Wait till she is lvl 40 then we see how.

Was pissed with him initally. But after a while, there is nothing to be pissed about and i might as well enjoy the game. With or with out his help.

It was much later i realised that smellycat felt threaten and like i am invading into his "special" territory which is his game, his guild friends etc.

I kinda bugged StantheMan to help me out, afterall he played alliance in another server so horde couldn't be much diff. StantheMan was so nice to patiently explain to me how things work etcetc and it was him that led me to them.

My current guild - Slackers of the Horde. ( Cool name right? - suits me perfectly! wahahaahahha)

StantheMan was telling me that he met a guy along Tarren Mill ( undead town) that is going to join a guild and asked me if i wanted to join with him. Having no clue what is going on, i met the then Bleedelf (undead rouge) and together with him, we joined Slackers of the Horde.

Was a pretty small and niche group of people. The Guild Master (GM) is Grimsight (orc shaman) and he told me the reason why he formed the guild so that he and his good friend Lalamucha ( troll hunter) could chat easier.

That was all in Jan 07.

Fast forward to now. Many things had since changed.

1. SmellyCat's Guild disbanded to form other guilds. Reason? Too many people, too many conflicts maybe? Kinda devastated SmellyCat for a while. He had since joined other guilds but he is never the same Smellycat before.

2. Bleedelf and Airle made way for Bloodwizard (Bloodelf Mage) and Violetraine (Bloodelf Priest) after the burning crusade launch, was kinda leveling with him till i had to go NZ for training and by then when i was back the gap was way tooo much to catch up already.

3. Met Grimsight, Lalamucha and Bloodwizard at the launch of the Burning Crusade. Finally we know how each other looked like. Waahahahhahah

4. Grimsight's friend Azilogg joined us as the only warrior in our guild. Now he is happily the Main Tank in our Guild.

5. Many people come and go in our guild, but there are always a few of us (Grim, lala, blood,azi etc) that was there all the way from beginning to now and i like what Grim said about our guild - casual gaming and based on friendship. Nothing beats playing with a group of friends. Even though our background, day jobs etc are very different but when we log in ,we are members of slackers of the horde.

6. I am still the slowest fella to level up in the guild. Its been like 10 mths and i am not even level 70. ( coz i got to work, take care of Bb Raine etcetc )Wahahahhahahahahah. I think if i am in some other guild, other GMs will probably kick me out of the guild by now.

7. I learnt how to play WoW with this group of friends and the experience is great, doing quests, going instance, helping you to level when you need that bit more to go to the next level etcetc.

8. My Guildies call me Vio coz my character's name is Violetraine (the love of my life), which makes me wonder will Bb Raine's friends call her that when she grows up. :P

9. Smellycat and Vio's relationship did actually get better, maybe we finally have common topics to talk about and as it goes along, it is actually nice to do something together again. He offered to bring me for instance ( though he was pretty harsh/mean to me in the instance but that is another story- hahaha) and sometimes gave me Gold ( WoW money) when i wanted to up my talioring or enchanting.

Krisy just upgraded her Status to Mumi !!

Got an sms from her yesterday while working.

Krisy: 4 hours labour. Shag.

It took me a while to register what she meant and i immediately called her back!

Wah! It is indeed true she had given birth!! Wahhahahaha. Wanted to visit her after work but thought that she might be overwhelmed so avia and i decided to go the next day with our 3 little monsters in tow.
