Zettai Kareshi (絶対彼氏。, Absolute Boyfriend ) is a six volume manga series by Yuu Watase, first serialized in Shōjo Comic.

I've always like Yuu Watase's Manga and this is no exception.

I chanced upon it at Kinokuniya one fine day in 2005 and Cheapo me read the entire 6 volume at Kino. Kekekekeke.

Robot - Human Love triangle? Silly to some but suckers to Chick Lit and Romance like me will love it!

Night, Riika and Soshi Manga Version.

Read it somewhere online that there will be a Dorama version and was looking forward to it.

But i waited and waited and kinda forgot about it till i read on Allison's blog that she had watched Absolute Boyfriend and then i remembered!
Zettai Kareshi!!!!

Bought the Dvd and finished it in a day! I went Naito - Kun Crazy!

Laughing like mad at the silly scenes, Went all soft and sigh when Night was all sweet and knight in shining armour for Riiko and cried buckets cats and dogs when he .....*spoiler alert* anyway cried like elephants and giraffes in the last episode.

Smellycat: Crazy huh, just now laughing now cry like fark??
Vio: *sobs* *sobs* :~~(

Slight variation in the setting of the dorama , its no longer the high school setting as in the manga, Riika is not sooo into Night as in the manga ,it seemed like they are gearing towards a Riika - Soshi kinda relationship and it seemed rather rushed that in the last episode Riika will give up everything for Night (when she is not really into him for the past 10 episodes??!!!)

But Silly me still enjoyed it nonetheless.

And casting Hayami Mokomichi as Night Tenjo is one of the Best choices!
He is like Night Tenjou leaped out from the Manga!

Arty Farty Rainy Day.

Was a rainy sunday evening and since we are not heading out, its time for a Arty Farty Session with Mini v!


Got paint materials ready and chopped up some apples and potatoes for some vegetable printing.


Mini v seemed excited that apple has other uses besides eating it!

Late Night Adventure.

Time Check: 2359hrs
Venue: Changi General Hospital

Incident report: Smellycat had a super bad ankle sprain (which i am not going into how he get it. ) and he can barely walk and when i got home at 2200hrs+, i saw him grimacing in pain lying on the Sofa while Mini v is running amok at home.

O.o = Vio.

Actually i knew that he had a sprained ankle coz he text me after he've gotten it and i had brought home some painkillers for him.
I know Smellycat's threshold of pain is damn good so for him to be in this state, it much be pretty bad...

So off to CGH's A&E we go.

As it is already 2300++, Mini v fell asleep along the way there....


You must be wondering how do i manage handling one on wheelchair and one in the pram.


Smellycat is the harder to handle one.
Mini v is very cooperative.
All she did whole night was to zzzzzzzzz.

In the end, A&E Dr told Smellycat that he had to be admitted!
Coz Dr thought that he needed surgery (long story).

Mini v and me went home at 4am, slept, woke up and went to see him the next day.
Thank God in the end the registar decided that no surgery is needed and he can be discharged!

The furkids always like to snuggle with her when she is napping on the sofa or on my bed. Strangely, they will not jump onto her cot when she is sleeping there. Maybe the cot is too small to sunggle or maybe she kicks them off her cot? Ha!

Post dinner today, was with Grim and Smellycat window shopping (to burn off some calories) when i chanced upon her!

The saleslady thought i was window shopping and half heartedly took out from the display to show me.
When i saw her outta the display, i was sold.

By then the Saleslady attitude changed, she knew i wanted to get this and she is soooo attentive to me, help me adjust my strap etcetc.
Ha! Like by buying this watch i made her day.
Maybe i did, but this watch made my day too!

And made Smellycat's day three! Coz this watch is soooooooo much cheaper than the Acer Aspire One and i swear i saw a smirk on his face when the saleslady tell him the price.

I love my Dad.

Father's are often neglected.

Usually a mother's love will be quoted as the greatest love of all etc etc.

What makes a Dad's love pales in comparision?

To me, its don't pales. They are just different. The kinda love that a mother and a father gives.
Its so different that you couldn't compare. Both are wonderful in their own ways.

This post from Judy's blog really touched me.

When i 1st read about it i was like thinking just your typical father son bonding session thingy.

Then i watched the video.

From Judy's Other side of the world :

A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?'

The father who, despite having a heart condition, says 'Yes'.

They went on to complete the marathon together.

Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together.

One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together.'

To which, his father said 'Yes'.

For those who don't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever.

The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer)marathon along the coast of the Big Island.

Father and son went on to complete the race together.

Smellycat recently got this art easel from Ikea for Mini v to doodle on.

After a while she got bored and asked Smellycat to accompany her to doodle.

5 mins later, she got excited and told me : Mami!!! You see!! Dadi drew ** ****!!!!

I turned and realised that....

OH MY GAWDDDDDDDD!!!!

Smelly was sniggering away and i was super duper pissed with him for drawing nonsense.

I then asked him to bring her to shower so i can draw something nice for her.
Looked around , picked up her coloring book and decided to draw some of her favorite animals from it.
But before i could draw finish, she rushed out and wanted me to shower her instead.
When she saw me with the crayon in my hand and the drawings on her paper...

Mini v: ARHHH!! MUMI NO NO DRAW MUIMUI BOARD!!!
Vio: ??????

She then took a Red crayon and drew bold Red strokes to cancel out my hard work!!!

DOUBLE OH MY GAWDDDDDD. >.< *Argghhhh!!!*

Mini v: Come, Mumi let's go shower.
Smellycat: Draw so nice for what? She also cancel you! Hahahahaha. Da bian is good enuff!!!

And the Father of the Year award goes to.....

Mini v needs her pacifier for bedtime.

Its like a key to unlock her mechanism to calm her down and help her to unwind when she's tired.

However, this fateful day, she forgot to bring her tutu (pacificer) back home after a stayover at MummyHelen.
MummyHelen forgot to pack it into her Shark bag too.
And her spare one at home had been savaged by the furkids when she left it on the sofa.

Talk about bad luck.

For us and for her.

Coz without her tutu, she is super cranky and couldn't unwind. The feeling's like forgetting to bring your housekeys, stuck outside the door ,getting restless and frustrated.

And for us coz, she keep whining and brawling and repeatedly asking us for her tutu!!

Finally Smellycat couldn't take it anymore.

Smellycat: Now still got where got sell tutu?
Vio: You want you can try Giant (hypermart). They got a baby section over there.
Smellycat: What time they close?
Vio: 12 (midnight)?
Smellycat: * took a glance at the clock - 11:25pm it read* Violet! Come lets go Giant buy tutu!
Vio: O.o * shocked*

At this moment Mini v's eye lit up, jumped from her seat, put on her crocs and told me...
Mini v: Bye bye Mumi! I go Giant buy tutu! See you!
Vio: *faintz*

Mini v then happily followed Smellycat for her tutu adventure!

Half hour later, the smelly duo were home and besides having 2 new tutus, she had 2 tubes of yakult and a new toothbrush!

Mini v: Mumi, Dadi say muimui sleep wake up brush teeth drink yakult ok?
Vio: ................

Only the Smellycat will entertain the Smellyminivkitty.

Road Trip Continues(Part 2)


Told Smellycat i wanted to try some water sports and off we go to the Monkey Beach Hut to check out the watersports they have there.

Decided to try Jet-Skiing and Parasailing.

Jet Skiing was fun!! The guide took us all the way out but too bad no pics coz i am worried my Camera will fall into the deep blue sea!

After our "gruelling" (like real) watersports, we went back to the hotel to shower and chill before heading out for our seafood dinner at Delima which is quite near the harbour and Holiday inn.


Managed to catch a glimpse of the Sun setting while waiting for the food.


Smellycat super hungry and wondering why the food don't come any faster.


My daily fix of coke.


Our "feast" - black pepper crab, tom yum soup, stir fried bb kai lan, cereal prawns, Hot plate sotong and stir fried beef. All for $40++ ! (cannot rememeber exact amount)

After a wonderful dinner, we decided to chill at the Hotel lounge.
And i saw this!! Its SHISHA time! And for $8 only a portion.
Never tried this before so i ask Smellycat (he tried it umpteen times) to share with me.
So many Flavors so i choose the most girly one - Strawberry! Ha! And smell nice too!

It was a quiet nite and we are the only customers! hhahahahaa.

Princess Kelene is kind enough to come pass us our car and we went to pick mini v up (mummyangie left already) on the way home.

And we got for her 2 dozens of J Co donuts! Ha!
(Actually she ate only 1, Grim, Scott, Smellycat and me finished up one dozen! Ha!!!)

Though its only a 2D1N Batam trip, but i think who went with you makes a big difference.
I enjoyed the trip though we are bickering all the time! Ha!!

Maybe Hawaii next time?
