Mini v on wheels.

Being a inline skater myself, i really hope that Mini v will take interest in inline skating too.

So last Christmas i got her a pair of FisherPrice inline skates for kids.

A bit ambitious actually coz she is only 16mths old that time.

Ha!

Anyway, i kinda forgotten about the skates coz the 1st time she put it on, she couldn't balance and fell on her butt.

Then she got fed up and tried to kick off the skates wailing," Take out!! Take out!!"

My heart dropped and i thought: That's it. She anti skating . Sigh.

To my surprise one day while at home, she actually put on the skates and starting blading (actually moving forward) around the hall.

*happii* Its in the genes afterall ! Ha!

I showed her the proper way to wear the skates (with shoes for the kids skates) and guide her to skate.

She loves it and i love seeing her doing it. :)

What matters is ... to pick yourself up and don't get disheartened.

Food Therapy.

It was supposed to be our CC cohesion dinner.
But Boss last min couldn't make it .
*Grrrrrrr.......... *

Wanted to cancel but Boss told us to go ahead anyway so... her wish is our command.


We had Dinner at Shokudo Japanese Coffee House at Bugis.
Went with Ser the other day and the food was good!
Hence i asked the Gals if they wanna dine here and they are cool with it! Ha!

Olympics Fever

Never knew Olympics can be so chic.

Was shopping with Princess Kelene when i stopped dead in my tracks.

PK Princess.

Jing couldn't make up her mind as to boozing at Wala's or to go KTV.
So i decide for her and we end up at K box. :)

It was just the 2 of us till Alvin (Jing's friend) and Kebeen came to join us.

I bought a mini mic they are promoting at the reception coz i think it is really kawaii and Mini v will look kawaii playing with it (she loves to sing!).

And when we tested the mic out at the room, we are amazed at how good we sounded!

HA!

And when the promoter came to our room again to try promoting, he got the shock of his life.

Coz....

Before he can say anything.

Kebeen : Gimme 2. I want the blue and pink one.
Jing: I also want the pink one. Think i take the green one also.
Promoter: *shocked* Ok ok.. i go get for you.

The easiest deal he ever got!

And when he came back, i bought another 2 (for Princess Kelene and Avia) and boy was he the happiest promoter that night.

Angelic Touch.

A sincere heartfelt thanks to all who keep Lincoln in their prayers.

It is really a miracle that he is out of danger so soon and transfered to a normal ward already!

Yippeee!!!

He is recovering well and boy am i damn happy to see him improving everyday when i go down to the hospital .


Saw this cert on his cardiac table.
He is well suited for this award. Truly a brave boy!


Trying to distract him from his pain with a psp ( every boy's fav. Ha!)

He is on his road to recovery and i really pray that he will recover fast with no other problems and in time for his PSLE.

Once again, thank you everyone who keep Lincoln and his family in prayers.

Thank you God for sending an angel to watch over them.

I need Prayers.

I dun usually like to post sad things.
As this is like my Happy moments blog.
Everything here is Happy Rainbowy and definintely no thunderstormy clouds.

But then, sometimes these thunderstormy clouds are the ones that take us from one happy moment to the next.

When i recieved the call from MummyHelen, i couldn't believe my ears.

My little cousin Lincoln was involved in a RTA in which he was knocked down by the taxi.

Maybe due to my ambulance experience, i tend to imagine the worse, afterall the cases i attended too are usually quite bad.

I flew down the moment i got the call. Just changed, grabbed my bag and floored the Lapin as fast as i could.

I was praying and talkin to God along the way. Please let him survive. He has yet to live his life to the fullest, let him live, let him live.

When i finally get to see him at the ICU, relief swept over me.

Though he is injured badly, but seeing the condition he is in, i am kinda confident that he will pull it through.

Can you imagine that there are no fractures on his body at all???!!! Praise the Lord!
But the tricky part is there is a skull fracture and there is bleeding at the back of the brain.
The medical personnel monitored and after the 2nd scan, they realised that the bleeding is growing and surgery had to be done.

To cut long story short, in God's Grace, operation is a success, he is recovering and the last time i saw him, he is slowly regaining consciousness though he is in a lot of discomfort and pain.

Thats why i need prayers. Tons of it.

Pray for my little fat uber kawaii cousin, for him to get well, for him to have the courage and strength to face all these.

Pray for my Auntie Chin Choo and Uncle Michael, for them to have the strength to get through this bad moment. They haven't really slept in 2 days and pray for them to have a peace of mind, the calm and serenity that they can at least rest and go through this long and trial-ing period.

Pray for Lincoln's brothers - Jake and Nick, they are taking this very hard as after all, who wouldn't if it is your precious little brother. Pray for strength and understanding ( nobody wish for this to happen, Nick and i certainly dun wish that you are the one taking his place.)
Especially for Nick, he has to go to school everyday despite this. Be strong, Nick.


This is not the kinda thing i would like to see on the newspaper.
sigh.

Garlic's Precious Little Darling.

Can't wait to see the uber kawaii Fat boy that everyone adores as before.

I think i need to pray for Compassion for me.

Being in the Medical profession so long, i realised that i kinda lost my ability to feel when i encounter incidents like this.

I kinda realise this when DaddyJimmy had a stroke.
It only take me many days later to really break down and cry when i realised that my dadi couldn't pick me up and swing me around like it when i was small anymore.

1st thing i'll do is to decipher it like it is some case that i am taking.
I cannot understand how come everyone is feeling so sad when it seem to me the prognosis is good.

It frustrates me at times.

Why can't everyone see that it is ok?

Or maybe it is not?

Actually i guess it will never be ok.
It'll never be the same as before.
Now its just how we pick up from it, how we overcome it and like that i always believed in :

"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established."
~Proverbs 19:21

So... Let go and Let God? Have Faith?

Think besides Compassion. I need Faith too.

Fine Dining.

Garlic told me that he is bringing Mini v and me for fine dining.
2 thoughts came to me immediate.
- Since when Garlic appreciate fine dining?
- Fine dining can bring Kids??

It was later then i realised that the Fine Dining he is going to bring me is in fact situated at a neighbourhood coffeeshop.

Fine Dining at a neighbourhood coffeeshop????

But its true! Apparently, the people behind this decided to open 3 stalls at different heartland neighbourhood area as to bring fine dining to heartland people!

Eating foie gras and escargots at the coffeeshop? Cool! :D

Anyway, i tagged along with Garlic, his friends and Mini v (lucky girl got to taste all these good food!) and the experience was great!

Food is wonderful, ambience is ok ( very cooling for a coffeeshop concept) and has ample parking.

Starters: Green Chilli Seafood Chowder.
It has a subtle spicy taste and taste very nice.
I was so eager to drink the soup that i almost forgot to take picture of it! Ha!

Mini v so engrossed with the Psp that she doesn't realise that she is drinking GREEN CHILLI seafood soup. Ha!

Nice fish, flaky and doesn't has a fishy aftertaste.

Fried Salmon Skin! Yumz!
The Crispsy Salmon Skin Salad is good for sharing and before you know it, its all gone!


Monkey Head Mushroom with a tinge of Wasabi Sauce.


The melt in your mouth pan fried foie gras.


Escargots in i dunno what sauce,which i love anyway and slurped up a few anyway. hahahaha!


Smoked Duck Steak with XO fried rice and Salad.
Something to share: I dun eat duck! I cannot stand the taste!
But the presentation for this Smoked Duck look so nice that i couldn't resist and snap a pic.
Ha!
But according to those who ate, the duck is nice and tender. Hmmm....


Loh mee? NO! Its Salmon pasta in some i dunno what sauce again.
Looks normal but taste great! Salmon taste is not overwhleming, pasta of the right texture, not soggy in all those sauce.



These Pan fried Lemongrass Lamb chops are delicious!
The meat is tender and the sauce has a just nice sweet savory taste.


Modern Japanese Food!
Mee Sua with chicken and carrot broth.
Nice!

After the Main course ( in which we are like very very full), its time for desserts!


Chilled Aloe Vera. Nice Sweet refreshing taste!
