The origin of the name Christina Chan.
Once upon a time, Garlic bought some alphabet stickers to stick on the face towel hooks (not 3m ones as it was in the early 80s.) in the toilet so that we can hang our face towel according to our names. Mine was a "S", His is a "G" so on ..... Then he paste "C" onto Gramps hook. He thought i didn't see but i saw that it was the only one left on the paper.

6yr old San-d:Which part of gramps name starts with "C"?
12yr old Garlic: Her surname? Its Chan.
6yr old San-d: Then why you don't "W" for all our hooks? (our surname is Wong)
12yr old Garlic:: Er..er..... (ganna busted) Hiya, i give her a chirstian name that's starts with "C" la ....Chirstina la!

Hence gramps is known as Christina Chan w.e.f one stupid day circa 1986. And till today, she still doesn't know she is called Christina.

Come to think of it, many things happened since the incorrigible R4's bday.

Sat: Ignored R4, went to David tao's showcase in the evening (thanks to Garlic) and then party at zouk.
Sun: Slept like a log then went to town to chill and also watch a SUPER DUPER Crappy movie called Shikokoh or something.
Mon: Packed my yellow room (50% done) then pop over to ser place to help her paint her room after which we went to Ikea to grab some stuff.
Tue& Wed: Was activated to provided medical cover for ex president wee kim wee's funeral.
Today: Went to the PSP launch party at zouk!

Some funny incidents that happened there:

1. One kid remarked to us that he dunno why he came here, he say the consent form say pay respect to dunno who.

2. People wearing like going to the beach, going to market , going partying (colorful clothes eg bright red) to pay respects. And get all upset when they are rejected entry by the officials.
Don't they get it that it is a funeral?

2. Sam told me that she saw some corny remarks kids wrote in a condolences book made by one of the primary schools . Remarks like: " Best wishes (??!!), with warmest wishes(???!!!), See ya(????!!!!), but the ultimatium one is : "May you die in peace" ( think the kid meant may you rest in peace??)

R4 always spoil the picture.

It was a nice event with free drinks, food, goodie bag(got a psp pillow and water bottle) and nice entertainment ( the game segment had be almost rolling on the floor laughing). There are lotsa pretty girls with psp for us to hands on( the psp console not the girls :op)

As usual, got interrogated by R4 as to why i am so rush to buy the psp~ what asia set, us set. screen made in japan, china ,dvd code 1,3 ....wtf????

Sigh.

It was meant to be his bday present (but there was a delay so got him the sea pathfinder instead) and been talking to Goggy Molly since feb regarding this .

Plus she got me a good deal! Thats why got the tixs to go for the launch.

Hmmmph. *Cross arms*

Yesterday is the incorrigible R4's birthday.

Wanted to plan a surprise party for him but somehow my plans fall thru coz his batch boys decided to hold their monthly batch boy dinner on the same day.

The guys had decided to eat at those BBQ steamboat thingy at Marina South .

So in the end R4's birthday is so predictable that i feel that i should've made a stand (as to the 2 of us celebrate) for it in the first place so that i can at least create something memorable for him.

Anyway, what done cannot be undone.

After the dinner, they did the predictable (again) and the whole jing gang decided to celebrate at Devils .

Geez. Cheesy Place.

We had initially agreed to having his free Birthday icecream from swensen and also to get him his favorite black forest cake after this dinner.

Therefore I was kinda pissed and disappointed so i said that i'll pass the devils part.

But he went. Out of obligation. To his batch boys.

So at 12am exactly, i send him an sms:

"Your birthday is officially over and my only regret is i didn't managed to get a black forest cake for you and spend our time together meaningfully instead of fullfilling obligations."

In which he replied:

"hiya."

Whats a Hiya? What does Hiya meant?

Whatever.

I put the phone to charge and off to slumberland i go.....

After which, i woke up at 5am, called him but he didn't pick up. He came back shortly after looking kinda intoxicated and crawled into bed. I then stradegically placed all the furkids inbetween us on the bed. Can't stand the fact that he didn't pick up my call hence making me worry and his stupid intoxicated state. He is infact still in him dreamland now. bahhhhhh......

So Near Yet So Far.

Did the IPPT today.

All my stations were 5 points but i knew deep in my heart that my 2.4km run timing sure cannot make it to GOLD standard.

But today as i ran, the feeling is different.

The pace.

The environment.

The bounce from my Air Pegasus.

Though i am the last in the group ( usually is the last) i can still see Chris Tan though he is kinda far away. Felt kinda encouraged coz usually i can't see any of them!

Disclamier: Not that i am freaking slow but my team mates all run freaking fast. Wahahahahahah.

Even uncle chan got off his safety vehicle and ran with me a bit and ask me not to give up and "open up your pace".

*huff**puff**huff**puff*

Then when i reach the last 200m, i sprinted like there is a great LV sale where everything is going at $1.99!

And when i reached the ending point.

"13:10"

*dazed*

San-d: Wat??? My timing is 13:10?

Actually was feeling a bit disappointed that i was about 30 secs away from the GOLD timing of clocking below 12:45.

Nothing much i can do anyway.

However when i told krissy about my timing.....

San-d: *still huffing away* Sigh, i thought i can shave off some time to get gold.

Krissy: Whats your timing?

San-d: I miss my 30 secs la. My stupid timing is 13:10.

Krissy: *eye open wide* You didn't miss by 30 secs.

San-d: *raised one eyebrow* Huh?

Krissy: You missed by 10 secs. You forgot you now CAT Y arh?

San-d: * head banging on the tree nearby*ARRGGhhhhh!!!

I really forgot that 25 is CAT Y already. Still thinking about Cat X's timing.

Now i lagi sad. The same kinda feeling felt when i failed airborne selections.

L.M.A. (Lazy Monday Afternoon)

Morning was powerpacked as we did our IPPT Trial and running in the sun is a killer.

Rest of the day was kinda busy with our usual admin and prep.

When the end of the work day approaches, the team decided to unwind and i've decided to be a paparazzi wannabe and snap pics of everyone waiting to go home.


Decided to relax on our new coach and chill with 8 days. Ignore Farmboy. He just wanna be in the pic. Heh heh.

This is the places we clocked when we went for the night cycling thingy.

I simply cannot believed that i managed to cycle to all these place.

The trip was damn fun and i enjoyed myself tremendously. And the fact that R4 finally decided to do some sports (which is to join me instead of playong conquer) makes my day (night).
