R4 had a surprise MCFUN party.



Been wanting to celebrate in a McDonald's Resturant for ages. Its kinda like reliving childhood memories. Eversince Primary school, don't think you will be invited to McD parties anymore.

From then will be house parties, chalets, BBQs, KTV, partying etcetc....

Don't know what gotten into me that i decided to do something different for R4 and his bday this year.

I've decided to throw him a surprise party.

The best part that it is held at McDonalds.

Whahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

It just came to me suddenly and i decided to act on it since i wanted it to be special.

After all when BB raine is out, don't think we can do such stuff anymore.

Not to mention that he is turning 27 this year.

Send SMSes to his friends and try to get RSVP before proceed to book the McFun party. (Whats the fun if no one turns up.)

After getting a rough estimate, i've decided to celebrate on friday (28th- 1 day earlier) than on the actual day (29th) as some of his closest pals are unable to make it on the 29th.

Getting the restuarant is the tough part.

Not only they are fully booked for the weekend, they only cater indoor parties till 6pm!

Had to convince them to allow for a "later" party and only the McD@ TanglinMall is willing to accomodate my request ( really thank them lots) to host the party from 6:30pm-8pm.

After settling the restaurant and making a deposit, i proceed to mms everyone a confirmation invite(coz no point send out a bday invite though McD did give me some as everyone had been informed through word of mouth)

Now is the waiting game.

Wait till the actual day and not letting the noti R4 know about it.

I was actually surprised that everyone is so good at it! No one told him, hint to him etcetc.

He is kept completely in the dark!

Wahahahahhahahahahahahha.....

Then came the actual day, R4 went down to Tanglin Mall with Big Willy as Big Willy mentioned to him before about checking out the bike shop there.

I was having workplan seminar and was frantic when the time i decided to leave(workplan had finished!) It started to rain.

Not only cats and dogs. Its a massive thunderstorm!!

*panic panic*

Luckily Avia called Ken and he happened to be nearby so he can pick us up!

* Thank God*

Managed to reach Tanglin Mall in a record time of 20 mins.

Hence i am not late and the party can proceed as usual!!

10th or 13th?

Went for my routine medical check up today.

Then i noticed something on the file.

The EDD of Bb Raine is 13th June 06.

I was like *huh*?? *confused+++*


SO when is the EXACT DATE???

It used to be 16th. Then after a few scans i was told 10th. Now it is 13th.

So confusing.

Sigh.

So when people ask me. I'm going to say that she is due from the 10th -16th.

On a lighter note, was at the garage with R4 when the Hello Kitty Challenge came on.

He told me that there is a Hello Kitty Car sign and ask me to take a look.

San-d: Uh huh. Quite cute lah. Then what? You want to put for the car huh?
R4: I anything one. if you pay money then i put la.
San-d: Don't bluff lah.

San-d: Ok.

Then i asked the salesperson to take it out, paid for the car sign and viola!!!

SANDy is a Catus Girl.

The shopaholic in me strikes again!

Today went to town and splurge on the TOKIDOKI series - Cactus Friends Figurines.

What makes me wanna buy them is there is this Green (my fav color!) Catus girl named SANDy!

And i gotta buy her friend - Sabochan too coz it is sold as a set. But after buying it finds it not to bad afterall! She's so Kawaii!

Now waiting for her dog- bastardino to be in stock and i will have the complete set!

Wahhahahahaha. *happy happy*

Suddenly i also dunno what to blog.

When mummyhelen told me, my mind went blank and deviod of emotions.

Guess being in the medical line kinda makes you numb to stuff like this.

Mummyhelen: Your dad is blind.
San-d: *wondering what has he done to piss her off again* What blind?
Mummyhelen: He go check up the doctor say he is blind in one eye.
San-d: *wtf??* Huh? WHat talking you?
Mummyhelen: Hiya, you go call him yourself la.

I immediately rang up papi and asked him whats the deal.

Then the news sink in . He has Gluacoma in his right eye and had became completely blind in that eye.

I keep asking him "sure or not? sure or not?" " got see specialist or not?" " What kinda gluacoma you have- got many types, you know?"

(wonders why am i in a denial stage)

Papi is so cool about it.

I wonder is he putting up a front.

For people like me, stuff like this supposed to be bread and butter.
But my reaction for today shows me that guess we are human no matter what profession you are in.

At least i handle this issue better than Garlic.

Though he never say it, but i know it is affecting him badly.
Guess thats what constitute to his minor "kiss the bumper and lose $400" accident.
After all he is the emotional one.

Suddenly it makes me realised that life is so fragile and may hit you when you least expected it.

And when i put down the phone call with papi, i cried.

There is really no need to put on a brave front.

And i really feel better after that and can carry on with research on his condition and making sure he better protect his other eye.

Lucky for him his left eye is functioning 100%.

Guess this is a wake up call for me that papi is no longer the strong and strapping papi already.

And i better not take him for granted.

Had a fun day shopping today.

Been a while i guess.

Actually wanted to buy a Blythe doll that i aimed for some time (and at a good price too!) but i saw the doll wrongly and went down all the way to Suntec then realised i see wrongly.

I wanted Cherry Berry but the Shop's Blythe is VERY Cherry Berry.

Wahahahahhahahahaha.

Guess Pregnancy made me scatterbrained.

Went Paragon to do some BB stuff shopping and bought a Roxy pouch to put BoOBoO in. It was at 60% off so the Final price is at $9.90!

And the best thing is there is 2 left in the shop! So Ser and i got to buy! Yeah!!!

Though the color is a bit dull - cream color but i am happy coz:

1. Cheap.
2. Functional - can put BoOBoO in and bring her out with all her accessories. (Coz got front compartment)

Ser saw it at the Adidas shop and she was frantically trying to get my attention while i was engrossed with the Sales person trying to order the FIFA World Cup Germany Jacket which i hesitated to buy last time (which later became sold out ok!!??*heartpain*).

When She managed to get my attention..... we decided to buy it together coz it looked soooo nice!!!! She like it coz it is WHITE and i Like it coz it is DOG! (i know is goofy :op)

When we tried the sizes, they have no small size but they have extra small.

Ser hesitated to buy coz we wanted to buy together. So we went to another shop hoping there is Small size and viola! the shop does carry small!

Yippee!!!

So i bought the Small size one (though my tummy is sticking out heeehehehehhee) and then we have to go through 3 jackets before I managed to get a nice piece! (1st one was stained, 2nd one wasn't sewn properly.)

Then we rushed back to the previous shop hoping the extra small is not sold!

Luckily for us, it is not sold and Ser managed to get hers too!!

It rained again.....

As i am writing this post, don't know why the sky turned dark and thunderous.
*Bbbbbrrrrrrrr........*

One of my friend had passed away.

He is one of the Singaporeans that was involved in the Bahrain cruise capsize.

It didn't occur to me as i was watching the news, reading the newspaper that he is someone i knew.

Though i am not close to him but i knew him since i was 13 and one of my close friend, Ken is his best friend( sounds complicated?).

Ken broke the news via Msn to me.

I couldn't believe my eyes (reading from the monitor).

What makes my heart ache is when Ken told me: I've lost my one and only best friend.

It makes me realised how fragile life is. How unexpected life could be.

Ken: He's supposed to be back this week, he's supposed to be celebrating his birthday.

Sigh.

I really don't know how to console Ken except to lend him a listening ear and to sms him daily to check that he is at least functioning normally.

Ken sms me this today: tell ya smtg. i nvr believe in being supersitious. bt y.day noon was damn hot. but sky turn black almost instantly when his body rch hm. less than a min when he was carried out. rain pour so heavily n thunder roared so loud that many shook their body in shock. seems wee is tellin us hes v sad or tellin us he has reached hm. n the rain stop aft his coffin was covered.....

I thought of yesterday and indeed it was raining very heavily in the mid afternoon.

From his sms, i can see that he is hurting badly.

Some people will proberly think what is the big fuss. People passed away everyday.

But the difference this time is that this is my friend and he is gone so young, so sudden that many couldn't accept the fact or deal with the loss.

Someone remarked to me when i told him about the incident, " why you care so much, you also not close to him mah".

I feel that this person is so tactless. Must i be close to him to care?

There are people who are close to him that are hurting and this is the least that i can do to help my friend.

After all, though we are not close, Wee is one of the 1st to drop me a message on friendster when he heard that i'm pregnant.

Not many of my "friends" did that.

It started pouring already.

I love Berries!

Don't really fancy waffles as much.

Just not his day.

Read about this cafe called "Tung Siu Cafe" in Cleo mag which serves HongKong Cafe like style food and i remembered seeing it on some food variety show on channel U.

Apparently this cafe has about 300 different foods on the menu.

Anyway, bugged R4 to bring me there and enroute we picked ser up.

It is so difficult to choose wat to eat!! So many choices! Ranging from mee to baked rice to pasta to dim sum etcetc.

We were tickled by the lingo used on the menu.

YCK? Yio chu kang? No ! It stands for Yao cha kwei (fried dough fritters).

CCF? Congestive Cardiac Failure? No! Chee Cheong Fun!

Wahahahahhahahahahahaha

The menu looks kinda weird with CCF and luncheon meat, CCF with sunset egg etcetc...

We ordered:

Starters: French fries (with mayo and tomato ketcup) Yumz!
Food: Kimchi noodles with luncheon meat and sunset egg (ser and me) , Nissin noodles with scallop dumpling and sunset egg (R4)
Drinks: Ice tea with chinchow- wierd but he like(R4) , Iced lemon tea(me), chrysanthemum tea (ser) and the chrysanthemum tea comes in a cute jug in which you can see all the chrysanthemum!
Dessert: Mango and pomelo ice (me), Mango pudding (ser), sesame paste (R4)

Ser and i had a great time there.

The food we ordered turns out great but R4 claims his food sucks.

Haahahahahhahahahaha.

He say his mee too bland, his dessert watery etcetc.

R4= super upset+++

This always happen to him. I also dunno why. With 300 stuff to choose from the menu, he managed to choose the sucky farky one.

Ser and me went crazy in the shop. Almost wanted to whip out the plastics to stop our craziness but the price tag stopped us from whipping out the plastics.

ButAnya Hindmarch bags have really nice furnishing and i feel its really worth the money.

Funny how i won't think twice when buying blythes but think for days when buying stuff like bags.

Been reading up and trying some DIYing on Boo.

Think i suck at it.

I remember i chopped off one poor barbie's hair long time ago when i was very young.

I am determined not to do it again.

I don't dare to do much at first, just cut her hair from knee length to butt length so that it is easier to comb and maintain her.
