A rainbow for your birthday.

Photobucket
I was soooo looking forward to the screening of Koizora ( sky of love ).

Photobucket
It's this picture of Aragaki Yui and Miura Haruma that 1st caught my attention.
It was splashed over cineleisure and i was like : who's this uber kawaii couple!!!???

Curiousity got the better of me and i went to google all about Koizora.

Koizora is a love story that was originally published on the popular cell phone site Mahou no iRando.
It was authored by new writer Mika, and its supposed to be based on her own experiences.

The story revolves around Mika (named after the author), who falls in love with her classmate, Hiroki, upon entering high school. But over the course of the novel, she ends up suffering through many trials, such as rape, abortion, and betrayal.

There are so many reviews about Koizora but i feel that Twitchflim. net's description is the best : http://twitchfilm.net/site/view/imai-natsukis-koizora-love-sky-review.

Finally went to watch the show after eagerly anticipating its release in Singapore.
I've never been in a cinema with so many people crying.
Weeping actually.
Maybe sniffles?

Anyway, Koizora (sky of love) made me cry damn hard!!!! (The other movie i cried so hard was Quill coz its abt dogs.). Its so silly coz i already knew the story beforehand. Ha!

In fact when the show ended, i look around and saw the people around me looked so sad!! I was laughing away coz this is the 1st time i went to see the show with like 1/2 the people crying in the cinema. Totally unexpected !!! Ha!

I guess different people will react differently. It maybe damn good to me but not to you?

The cast's display of emotions and their acting is soooo good! Maybe OTT to some people but i felt that it protrayed the feeling of 1st love, love lost, angst, happily in love so well!
Its was really an rollercoaster of emotions when i watch the show.

The cinematography is really good. The wonderful shots of the Kyushu surroundings as well as the skies over Japan are breathtaking and grand.

Already raved so much about it, nothing more to add. Just wanted to share some classic moments in the show. (Spoiler alert!!!)

Youtube's Koizora Movie Trailer.

Aragaki Yui's rendition of movie's Theme Song - Heavenly days.
Uber angelic. Suits the show perfectly.

"A rainbow for your birthday."
Hiro after planting back the flowers he wanted to give to Mika, turned and instead of spraying the water at her, sprayed towards the sky and in that perfect moment of the sunlight seeping through the mist, a mini rainbow appeared.
My heart just melt at that point. :P

Photobucket
I bet every girl in love at some point of time will have their hair ruffled by the guy they are in love with.

Photobucket
So carefree, so simple. Just Hiro and Mika.

Photobucket
This picture is that of Hiro's attempt to take a pic of them together, i wonder if its deliberate coz it looked so beautifully wrong. Especially the blue sky (a perfect shade of blue!).

Photobucket
While many have criticized the physical relationship between Mika and Hiro (both are around 16 years old in the show) The director is very tasteful in not emphasizing or exploiting that aspect.

Photobucket
"We will always be in love!" *Snap*

Photobucket
There are countless moments in the movie when your heart just broke.
When Hiro is sick, when he broke up with her over that, when he still love her over the years, When he tell mika he don't wanna die coz he had so much to share with her , when a tear rolled from the corner of his eye when he passed away seeming to me that he can't bear to leave mika .....
Sigh~~~

:~~~~(

Photobucket
Mika asking Hiro to " marry" her. Awww....

Photobucket
There is this paricular conversation they shared that leaves a deep impression on me.

Hiro told Mika that he wanted to be the sky when he dies so that he can always watch over Mika.

Mika then told him that she will be able to know how he feels by looking at the sky.

When the skies are clear, means that he is happy.
When its raining , it shows that he is sad.
When its sunset means that he is embarassed.
And when night time comes, he is there accompanying her, watching after her while she sleeps.

*sniffle* :(

Photobucket
when i saw this pic, tears start to flow.
Not going to tell you why.
Uber big spoiler if i tell you.
Wahahahahhaha.

Photobucket
Words to describe this pic: Happiness. In love.
Bet every couple in love will have a shot like this.

I want a rainbow for my birthday too.

:)
